Ji Rongsheng coughed a couple of times, finally collecting himself. Tan You's words had really shaken him. "But you're their granddaughter. You have an obligation to be filial to your grandparents..."
"Filial piety?" Tan You laughed, amused. "In that case, let's start by getting out the compensation money from my parents' car accident. Let's hash out every bit of suffering I endured over the past few years, and *then* we can talk about filial piety."
"But... but you can't put a number on all that..." Ji Rongsheng's mind worked quickly. He had always been exceptionally skilled at scheming for his own benefit.
"So your brilliant idea is that since it's too hard to figure out, we should just forget the whole thing?" Tan You scoffed. "Ji Rongsheng, don't take everyone for a fool. I know exactly what you're thinking."
