"To be honest, I think you're being silly," Tan You said bluntly. "When a lot of girls see a player or a scumbag, their first reaction is always, 'I have to save him,' or 'I have to make him change his ways.'"
"But honestly, does a guy like that need you to save him? Does he need you to redeem him? He doesn't."
Ji Li paused, then broke into a smile. "You're right. He doesn't need me to redeem him, and he doesn't need me to save him. It's hard enough just getting my own life in order. How could I possibly save someone else?"
"So, from now on, I'll do my best not to waste my energy on men."
