As Archie Lockwood carried her away, the onlookers stared at him as if he were a fool.
Still, they didn't forget they had to get back to their cars and clear the road.
Back in the car, Archie Lockwood looked down at the woman in his arms and sneered. "Well, aren't you something else now? You've even learned to drink! And to make a drunken scene in the middle of the street, no less. Eleanor Bishop, oh, Eleanor Bishop... is there anything you *won't* do?"
The mere thought of Eleanor Bishop cursing him out in front of all those people made him so furious he wanted to wake her up and throw her out of the car right then and there.
'Just how unhappy with me is she? Enough to go yelling about it in the street?'
Archie Lockwood's brow remained tightly furrowed. The more he looked at Eleanor Bishop, the angrier he became.
