"Couldn't you read the Syanese written on yesterday's note?"
He tossed the words at her, then took Joy from her arms. He turned and got into the car, holding Joy. Dylan was already inside, waving to her. "Mom, hurry and get in! It's so cold out. It's so much more comfortable in the car!"
Resigned, she had no choice but to get in the car.
They first dropped Joy off at her preschool, then he dropped Naomi off at the hospital entrance. Only then did Julian drive Dylan to his school.
As soon as Naomi Shaw walked into her department, one of the younger nurses gave her a suggestive smile. "Miss Anna, the director is looking for you!"
Most people only knew she was with Sean Donovan; they didn't know the two had actually broken up. Naomi Shaw frowned slightly. After changing into her uniform, she headed for Sean's office. She slipped the key to his apartment into her pocket, along with the ring he had refused to take back the other day.
