Feeling a large hand roaming her waist, Ashley Bowen's eyes snapped open, intent on stopping his advances.
She had been in America during her pregnancy five years ago, so strictly speaking, Yuri Sinclair had never taken care of a pregnant woman before. This was his first time, and there were a few things she needed to teach him.
"Um, Yuri, we can't… The first three months are the most delicate. We can't… you know… or we might lose the baby." She bit her lip, nearly hard enough to draw blood. She knew that openly rejecting her husband like this was a total buzzkill.
To her exasperation, however, Yuri Sinclair just chuckled. "Who said I was going to take things to the next step? My hands were just itching for something to do."
He put on a perfectly innocent, gentlemanly expression.
"No. And no means no," Ashley Bowen said, turning her back to him and gritting her teeth.
