Claire Sinclair waited for about ten minutes before finally seeing the man she had been longing for. But she was so exhausted she couldn't muster the energy to greet him.
Adrian Quincy walked up to her and scooped her into his arms, gazing down at her listless eyes. "Sorry, I'm late."
"It's fine... I'm so sleepy..." As she spoke, Claire Sinclair nuzzled into his embrace like a clingy kitten.
His heart ached for her. Adrian Quincy kissed her on the forehead. "Go to sleep. I'll wake you when we get home."
"Mmm..." Claire Sinclair closed her eyes, feeling completely at peace.
