Chapter 2 - Chapter 4: Making It All Up

[The streamer is the real deal!]

[I thought it was fake at first!]

[I believe it now, because I saw the special security guys!]

[It's actually real. I apologize to the Heavenly Venerate for my initial lack of judgment.]

[This is so intense. I practically pissed myself.]

[So she's not just some jokester messing around, she actually has real skills!]

[My mom asked me why I'm kneeling while looking at my phone.]

Su Nian: "I do three divinations a day, and I have two slots left. Anyone who needs one, go ahead and hit that follow button."

Shang Qingtian followed the streamer.

Safe With Mumu followed the streamer.

Little Bird Who Loves Sugar followed the streamer.

...

In just a few short minutes, Su Nian gained a huge number of new followers.

[Streamer, me, me, me! I want a divination!]

[Me too! I want to know my fortune.]

[I really need this reading. I want to see if I passed the exam I just took.]

[Honestly, this streamer has real skills. I'm tempted now, too.]

[Me first, me first! Streamer, I really need this reading, too.]

[She's beautiful and powerful. I'm officially in love!]

Su Nian rested her chin on her hand and smiled faintly. It had been several months since she transmigrated into this novel's world.

From being the top Mystic Technique master in her original world to becoming a simpering, love-crazed heiress—it was all part of that damn system's plan.

Because the second female lead had faded from existence, the system brought Su Nian into the book's world to take her place, forcing her to push the main characters together and accelerate their romance. With great difficulty, Su Nian finally completed her mission.

But then the system informed her that to go back, she had to use her Mystic Techniques to earn one hundred million and accumulate enough merit before she could return to her original world.

After her rage subsided, Su Nian chose to open a short-video app and start livestreaming fortune-tellings to earn her way back home.

"There are quite a few people who need a reading. How about this: we'll do a lottery. Anyone who needs a reading can just enter the drawing."

[That's a pretty good idea.]

[Oh, great. My luck is always terrible.]

[Hahaha, I'm feeling confident. I'm sure I'll win!]

[No matter what, I've got to try!]

[There's something that's been bothering me for a long time. Please, please, let me win.]

Several bullet comments flew across the screen as the viewers discussed excitedly, rubbing their hands together in preparation for the lottery!

"Alright, anyone who wants to enter needs to follow me first to be eligible for the drawing."

Soon, a character for "Prize" began pulsating in the middle of the screen.

After just two or three seconds, the result was out.

[Congratulations to "Tangtang's Peace and Joy" for winning the streamer's prize.]

[Sigh, I didn't win!]

[What is with my luck?!]

[Everyone, stop complaining. I actually think it's good that she won. I hope the streamer can really help her.]

"If you don't mind showing your face on the stream, you can request to connect now."

[It's fine, I don't mind.]

Soon, the video call connected, and the livestream chat gradually quieted down.

A woman with red, swollen eyes and a haggard expression appeared on the screen.

She held her phone in one hand while using the other to wipe away the tears streaming from the corners of her eyes.

She tried to muster some energy, forcing a smile as she greeted the viewers in the stream.

"Hello everyone, I'm Tangtang's mother."

The viewers in the chat responded to her with great warmth.

[Tangtang's mother, please don't be sad.]

[This streamer is amazing, she can definitely find the real killer for you!]

[It's true. The streamer isn't just beautiful, she's got real skills.]

[Yeah, don't worry.]

"Thank you, everyone. I'm sure you all know what I want to ask the streamer."

As soon as she finished speaking, she turned her head away and began to sob uncontrollably.

But Su Nian just curled her lip, her eyes filled with an indescribable sarcasm.

"Dear, you'll need to pay the divination fee before I can proceed with the reading."

"Oh, the divination fee... I'm sorry, I thought... I'll send it to you now."

The woman's face showed a hint of disbelief, as if Su Nian was deliberately making things difficult for her.

She quickly lowered her head and operated her phone to send the gift, but her tears began to flow again.

Her posture made it look as if Su Nian had truly bullied her.

[What the hell?!]

[Why is she treating Tangtang's mother like that?]

[Poster above, calm down. These are the streamer's rules.]

[Yeah, the streamer just started. It's a good thing she's principled.]

[Sigh, the woman is already going through so much. Can't she just help her for free?]

The animation for a Magic Castle gift slid across the screen. Seeing that, combined with Tangtang's mother lowering her head and crying pitifully, some of the viewers already started feeling indignant on her behalf.

"Go on. What do you want to know?"

Su Nian's attitude was frigid. As for the bullet comments insulting her, she acted as if she couldn't see them.

Even when Ah Xue had been doubting her earlier, Su Nian's attitude had been normal.

But facing this woman, she couldn't even be bothered to feign a smile.

[Her attitude is just awful.]

[Maybe the streamer doesn't know the whole story.]

[Doesn't she claim she can read people's faces? You're telling me she can't see what Tangtang's mother has been through?]

[Asking for money is one thing, but the woman paid and she still gets this nasty attitude!]

[I'm speechless. What's with the high-and-mighty act?!]

[Sorry, but you just lost a fan. I'm an anti now!]

Tangtang's mother first faced the screen, thanking everyone nonstop and chatting for quite a while.

Su Nian, meanwhile, was left on the sidelines. Unbothered, she simply picked up a book and started reading leisurely while sipping her drink.

Tangtang's mother had expected Su Nian to take the initiative and ask about her situation, but instead, the streamer was just amusing herself.

She realized that as long as she stayed in the stream, she was just giving Su Nian more traffic.

Looking frail and weak, Tangtang's mother wiped her tears and began to speak in a low voice.

"Excuse me, streamer, can we begin now?"

The way she asked made it seem as if Su Nian had been deliberately ignoring her.

"Are you done chatting? Then let's begin. Tell me what you want to know."

Su Nian's gaze fell on her face, still devoid of any hint of a smile.

After another small sob, Tangtang's mother finally began to speak. "SOB... My daughter, her name is Tangtang... she was only five years old. Three days ago, I was supposed to take her to the amusement park, but she... she went missing. By the time the police found her, she was already..."

Before she could finish, she broke down again, unable to speak through her sobs.

[Streamer, you have to help her!]

[Sigh, watching Tangtang's mother cry is making me tear up, too.]

[Sorry everyone, I can't hold back my tears anymore...]

[It's so hard being a single mom, and now for something like this to happen to her child.]

Aside from these comments, some of Su Nian's more sincere fans were taking screenshots and sending them to her.

They urged her to be nicer to Tangtang's mother, or she might get cyberbullied.

Previously, someone else had raised suspicions about the case, but Tangtang's mother quickly posted a tearful video, and public opinion immediately turned against the doubter.

That blogger was severely harassed online and ultimately had no choice but to apologize to Tangtang's mother and make a donation.

Su Nian scrolled through her screen, looking at a news article about the incident. A five-year-old girl had gone missing, and when she was found, the child was no longer breathing.

Su Nian's expression grew colder.

"What is it you want to know?"

[What the hell is this streamer doing?!]

[What?! Can't the streamer see what's going on?]

[Tangtang's mother is so pitiful, and even after paying, she has to endure this kind of treatment for no reason!]

[If we weren't separated by a screen, I'd have to slap her a few times.]

[Poster above, forget it. She's too pretty, I couldn't bring myself to do it.]

Tangtang's mother, who had been crying, was taken aback by Su Nian's interruption. She seemed dazed for a moment, then hesitated before appearing to muster her courage again.

"To find Tangtang, I sold my house and spent my life savings in just three days. I never expected this would be the result. And even now, they still haven't found the killer... I just can't accept it!"

"I was hoping you could tell me what the killer is like, just to give me another clue."

Finally, Tangtang's mother stated her pained request.

The moment she finished speaking, the chat exploded with activity.

[Sigh, it's really not easy for her.]

[I'm a single mom too. If that happened to my child, I don't think I could go on.]

[I want to cry...]

[Tangtang's mother, don't worry! Post your WeChat ID, I'll donate to you personally. You have to stay strong!]

[That's right, your child wouldn't want to see you like this.]

[I'll donate something too. It's the thought that counts.]

[Me too...]

Before Su Nian could speak, the conversation in the stream, for some reason, suddenly shifted to donating money to Tangtang's mother.

"Thank you all. I'm so, so grateful. There really are so many good people in the world."

Tears streamed down Tangtang's mother's face as she looked incredibly moved.

Su Nian scoffed. "You're quite the piece of work, aren't you? Like a dog in a toilet, just opening your mouth to spew shit."
