Chapter 219 - 217

Because the current course was relatively stable, Murrue Ramius did not need to remain on the bridge.

So she took the initiative to seek out that man and give him what he wanted.

However, what he wanted was rather special, and she needed time to prepare it.

Once it was ready, she went straight to him and brought him to a place where no one would disturb them.

"Take it."

"Hm?"

Kain froze for a moment, then caught the bottle she tossed over. It looked like an insulated cup.

Why was she giving him this?

And her tone was clearly no longer polite. She seemed impatient. Even disgusted.

Then she tossed him something else. It was the game console he had asked her to hold on to.

The emotion behind that throw was even stronger, as if the game console itself were filthy.

In other words, it had to be because his game had gone down the "Murrue Ramius" route. That was why she felt such intense revulsion toward him.

This was also somewhat different from the Murrue Ramius he knew from the anime. In the animation, she seemed like a fairly calm and composed woman, not one as emotionally volatile as the woman before him.

Just because of that kind of setting in a game, she was showing him disgust?

Too unstable.

"What is this?"

He gestured with the bottle in his hand, unable to understand why she had given him that as well.

He shook it slightly. From the motion inside, he could tell it was not holding anything solid.

At that question, a trace of restrained anger appeared on her face. Her gaze sharpened as she glared at him, as if asking how he had the nerve to ask and pretend he did not understand.

It was as though he should know exactly what was inside the bottle.

"It's what you wanted."

"What I wanted?"

Kain raised an eyebrow, even more confused. How would she know what he wanted?

"Are you still pretending not to understand? You used the contents of that machine to hint that I should give you this. Do you need me to say it aloud? Is that how you want to humiliate me?"

The emotion in her voice became even more obvious, almost as if she were speaking through clenched teeth.

That left Kain even more bewildered.

He had used the contents of the game console to hint at something?

Yes, he had intended for the console to help her understand certain truths, so in that sense he had hinted at something. But from the current situation, it seemed she had badly misunderstood.

Apparently, she thought he had been asking her for something.

So he opened the bottle she had given him. When he removed the lid and saw the liquid shifting inside, he paused again.

The liquid looked similar to something like Earth Elixir, only not as thick.

Looking closely at the bottle, it was clearly meant for drinking, since it had a built-in spout.

"What is this?"

He asked again, and her emotions surged further, as if he had stepped directly on a landmine.

"So this still isn't enough to satisfy you?"

Murrue's voice gradually turned cold.

From her perspective, the man before her did not want something already extracted. He wanted to take it directly from the source.

"So, Miss Murrue Ramius, can you stop speaking in riddles and explain clearly?"

Only if she explained could Kain understand how she had concluded that he wanted this. And whatever it was, it seemed extremely special and important to Murrue, something not to be given lightly.

He sniffed the contents of the bottle. It carried a creamy, milky fragrance. It really did seem like that kind of substance, something rich in lactoferrin.

"I know."

She spoke through clenched teeth again.

What did she know?

They were completely talking past each other.

"Come with me."

Then he would follow and see what she intended to do.

As Kain was about to put the lid back on the bottle in his hand, he asked again.

"Is this something drinkable?"

"Yes."

Then he tried it, while also watching the captain's reaction.

Her gaze on him became even more intense and stranger.

Based on all available information, this was indeed something drinkable. But to her, it was something very important, something difficult to obtain.

It would not be poisonous. It would not harm someone who drank it.

Although she seemed angry at him, she was not so hostile that she would try to kill him.

In that case, it was most likely some kind of important medicine, similar to his Earth Elixir.

Perhaps it was a precious drug developed on the colony.

So how had she misunderstood him so badly that she believed he wanted this?

And since she deliberately refused to explain, Kain simply drank it all. At worst, he could compensate her with more Earth Elixir.

How should he describe it? The taste resembled something he had drunk long ago, a substance rich in a certain kind of protein.

Well, in truth, he was not sure.

It had been so long since he had tasted it that he could no longer remember the exact flavor.

In short, after he finished drinking, all he knew was that the captain's gaze turned even colder. She was so angry that her face flushed red.

"Is there more?"

She did not answer. She merely turned even colder and walked in a certain direction.

Where was she taking him?

Out of the corner of his eye, Kain noticed someone watching from behind. It was Cagalli.

Before long, she led him into a room. It looked like a rest room, which only made him more confused.

But then, a scene that left him somewhat stunned unfolded without warning. The captain in front of him began removing parts of her clothing, directly exposing what had been hidden beneath.

Once freed from restraint, it swayed heavily.

What was this supposed to mean?

...

Elsewhere, two people stood in silence.

"Cagalli, are you sure Captain Ramius is angry at him?"

"Not angry. Furious. And disgusted!"

Cagalli corrected her.

She had felt that something was wrong, so she had immediately used her communicator to call Lacus over.

"Huh? Just because of that game console?"

Although Lacus had known Captain Ramius for less than two days, she did not think Murrue was the kind of person who would become that angry after learning something from a game console.

She seemed like a very steady person. Why would she look as if she were about to turn hostile, as Cagalli had described?

Could it be that the settings and related story content for "Murrue Ramius" in the game console had truly touched on some secret forbidden place in Murrue's heart?

Was that why she was so furious?

"Probably. I can't think of anything else."

As Cagalli said that, she stopped walking, because they had already reached the door of the room the two had entered.

"Haro, open the door."

Lacus did not hesitate to have Haro crack the room's lock.

Entering without even knocking was improper, but she could not worry about that now.

If they were too slow and the two of them came into conflict, that would be even worse.

So Haro moved forward and scanned the electronic lock. A moment later, there was a soft ding, and the door opened automatically.

"Excuse me, Captain Ramia..."

Lacus stepped inside, only for her apology to freeze halfway.

"Uh."

Cagalli was also stunned speechless.

Then she looked at someone as if he were garbage.

Although she did not know what exactly had happened, looking at the current situation, no matter how she saw it, he seemed to be the one at fault.
