Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: First Sleep

Just now, falling from a thousand meters in the sky, even Kytheron, with his body of steel, was dazed for a while.

Although he wasn't injured, the stimulating sensation, like bungee jumping, still echoed in his mind.

As the saying goes, where you fall, that's where you lie down.

Kytheron contemplated the changes in his body from within the crater he had created.

He could perceive an invisible, special bio-force field forming around his body.

Picking up a stone, Kytheron tried to use that force field to envelop it.

Then, he tried to crush the stone with his other claw, only to find that even using nearly half of his strength, he couldn't do anything to it.

Kytheron knew that this was another ability of the Kryptonian Bloodline that had awakened!

"Bio-field."

This is why Kryptonians can fly freely, by using a bio-field to counteract the pull of gravity.

Similarly, this is why Superman can lift planes and buildings without tearing a hole through them.

It's also why he can fly at high speeds with ordinary people without injuring them.

This is because Superman can use a bio-field to apply a protective force to objects.

And a certain giant baby who loves milk, lacking this ability, could not lift a crashing plane like Superman.

"Three years of time, it wasn't in vain that I chased the Sun every day like a sunflower."

"Although the growth rate still feels a bit slow, compared to simply relying on Dragon Bloodline for growth, it's like riding a Rocket!"

Kytheron, standing in the void, looked at the earth below and sighed.

The growth potential of the ancient Kryptonian Bloodline is naturally beyond doubt, but three years is not a very long time.

There is still a long way to go before reaching its peak growth, and if he can obtain the Life Codex from treasure chests in the future, then his, Kytheron's, growth potential will increase significantly again.

At this moment, Kytheron began to control his body, soaring freely in the sky.

"Not enough, this speed is still not enough, I can go faster!"

Feeling the whistling wind in his ears, Kytheron still felt his speed wasn't fast enough.

So he continuously stimulated his potential, pushing the limits of his body's strength.

"Bang!"

Kytheron's speed began to break through continuously.

A series of sonic booms echoed endlessly.

Then, Kytheron looked at the Sun in the sky and began to fly upwards.

He pierced through the clouds, and above that, Kytheron saw a pale blue, shield-like object.

After an abrupt stop, Kytheron cautiously extended a claw to touch it.

He found that his claw passed through without any resistance, and his body felt no abnormality.

He then no longer hesitated, directly passing through the barrier, ready to better embrace the Sun.

However, at this very moment.

Within the Asgardian Divine Realm, Heimdall, the Guardian of the Bifrost Bridge, raised an eyebrow.

He possessed eyes that could see through any place in the Nine Realms.

Today, during his routine patrol, Heimdall happened to look towards Vanaheim and saw Kytheron rushing out of the realm.

"When did such a giant Dragon appear in Vanaheim!"

Heimdall, somewhat interested, kept his gaze on Kytheron for a while.

Then he noticed that Kytheron stopped after reaching a certain altitude!

"He seems to be enjoying the feeling of bathing in the sunlight."

"Since when do Dragons like to bask in the Sun!"

Heimdall said, somewhat inexplicably, and seeing no other actions from Kytheron, he didn't pay it any more mind.

At this moment, Kytheron felt all the cells in his body bursting with immense vitality.

Every cell was greedily devouring the massive radiation emitted by the Sun, then transforming and growing under the influence of the Sun's radiation.

Kytheron's dark scales now gleamed with a golden light under the Sun's rays.

"This feeling is truly wonderful!"

"I truly love this Sun!"

Gradually, Kytheron's eyelids began to feel heavy.

However, in this boundless starry sky, Kytheron dared not just sleep openly like that.

After all, Kytheron couldn't ascertain whether this World harbored some powerful beings.

As a Dragon, Kytheron would undoubtedly be a rare treasure in the eyes of some.

Dragon scales, Dragon blood, Dragon horns—these are all top-tier materials in some fantasy novels.

Furthermore, Kytheron had not yet encountered the true powerhouses of this World, and he didn't know what their combat strength was like.

If he were to be ambushed by some unknown means, he would truly have nowhere to cry.

Therefore, Kytheron still forcefully suppressed his body's instincts, roused his spirits, and heightened his vigilance.

However, just as Kytheron was absorbing with great enthusiasm.

Suddenly, he received a primal message in his mind, seemingly a hint from the original Dragon Bloodline within his body.

"Slumber?"

Kytheron felt somewhat bewildered by the sudden Bloodline hint.

"So, every time I reach a new stage of growth, I have to undergo a slumber!"

"But have I already completed the first stage of growth in just three years?"

Kytheron didn't know the growth cycle of other Dragons in this World, but he believed it certainly wasn't as fast as his.

"It seems the sudden wave of drowsiness I just felt was a hint from my body!"

"Alright! Before the slumber begins, I need to prepare a perfect resting place."

Kytheron calculated the time; he should still have about a day before his slumber.

Therefore, he had to modify his original dwelling within this day.

At the very least, he had to ensure that he could still bask in the Sun every day during his slumber; he didn't want to waste it.

Subsequently, Kytheron made a dive, descending from the sky.

He surveyed the surroundings of his cave, roughly calculating the various angles at which sunlight would enter.

Then, two crimson heat visions burst forth from his eyes, giving his lair a redecoration.

Looking at the several new skylights in the cave, and seeing the last rays of the setting Sun shining through them, Kytheron nodded with satisfaction.

Then, a breath of Dragon Fire sealed the cave entrance.

Kytheron lay in the cave, covering his body with his wings, and then no longer suppressed the instincts emanating from his body.

Gradually, intense drowsiness caused him to close his eyes.

...

Just half a year after Kytheron fell into slumber, Vanaheim suddenly welcomed a group of uninvited guests!

Some Frost Giants, allied with Stone Giants and Trolls, began to harass Vanaheim.

Having lost the protection of the Vanir, the inhabitants of this realm could only seek refuge from Asgard.

And Asgard, considering itself the Guardian of the Nine Realms, naturally would not stand idly by.

Thor, the Thunder God, this fellow whose head is now filled with muscles, naturally volunteered as soon as he heard that someone dared to cause trouble on his home turf.
