Chapter 151 - The Eye That Reflects the Soul

The Mangekyo Sharingan—the eye said to reflect the soul.

It grants a unique ability the moment it awakens, one that mirrors the user's deepest emotions.

Take Obito Uchiha's Kamui, for example.

Witnessing Rin's death, his mind sought to escape reality—and thus, Kamui was born.

Still, how did he manage to use it back when he only had two tomoe?

Seisui thought silently.

Then… what was I thinking in that moment?

Recalling that instant, Seisui's face turned slightly strange.

When he awakened his Mangekyo, what filled his mind wasn't sorrow or hatred—it was the dream of recreating his idol's grand ambition.

No way… my Mangekyo's power isn't related to that, right?

Thinking this, Seisui quickly shook his head. If that's really the case, who knows what kind of weird jutsu might come out of it!

Left eye: Unify the world. Right eye: Sweep the Six Directions?

That's a bit too abstract.

With those thoughts, Seisui lay back down on the bed, gazing at the star-filled sky through the window.

Since he couldn't figure it out, he decided not to.

Once the power matures, I'll know.

And if it truly was something like that, he'd make sure old Madara got a taste of what true unification meant.

Let's see how he likes being swept by the Six Directions! (hands on hips)

==========

The next morning, Seisui was woken by the blinding sunlight.

"...A strange ceiling."

The moment he said that, he realized—he had moved houses. Sitting up, he glanced at the bare window and sighed.

"Looks like I'll have to buy some curtains."

He wasn't planning to get roasted awake by the sun every morning.

His new home had three floors, and just as he stepped onto the second floor, the scent of something delicious drifted up from below.

He sniffed. The smell was familiar.

"That's stir-fried peppers and eggs," Seisui murmured, heading downstairs.

In the kitchen, Uchiha Haru was busy cooking, with seven or eight dishes already laid out on the table behind her.

Seeing her so focused, Seisui walked over and wrapped his arms around her from behind.

"I knew it—Haru's the best!"

Caught off guard by his sudden hug, Haru's earlobes turned pink and her cheeks flushed slightly.

"If you like it, I can cook for you every day," she whispered, hands still moving.

Seisui was about to tell her she didn't need to when—

BANG!

The door flew open.

"Seisui! You're awake?" Minato called out as he barged in.

"It's already nine! You still haven't—" He froze mid-sentence when he saw Seisui and Haru staring at him blankly.

"Uh… so you are awake."

Scratching his head awkwardly, Minato glanced at the table and, as if nothing had happened, sat himself down.

"Haru's cooking really is amazing!" he said, flashing a grin and giving them a thumbs-up.

Seisui sighed at the gleam of Minato's teeth.

"Minato, you don't have to rush in like that."

Haru nodded in agreement, though her eyes still carried a hint of displeasure.

"Minato," she said, "go call Kushina and Tsunade-sama. I told them earlier I'd be making breakfast."

"Just tell them it's ready."

Minato nodded, but before leaving, he looked down at the breakfast he'd brought for Kushina, then casually stuffed it into his mouth.

Since Haru cooked, Kushina didn't need this anyway.

Just as he reached the door, Haru added, "And make sure you call Konan and Nawaki too. Don't just invite Kushina and Tsunade-sama."

Minato turned back with a wounded expression. "Do I really seem that dumb to you?"

"Yes," Seisui replied without hesitation.

"After all, you are the idiot Minato."

"Damn it, Seisui—you'll regret this!" Minato snapped, his face twitching.

"When I become Hokage, I'll make you clean Konoha's public toilets!"

"That's exactly what I'd assign you to do, Minato!"

"Don't forget—I'm still the team captain!"

Seisui's words hit him like a kunai to the heart.

Every argument ended with his defeat.

Maybe… once I become Hokage, I'll finally win one.

Then, no matter what Seisui said, he'd just reply: I'm the Hokage.

Thinking of that, Minato couldn't help but grin.

Seisui frowned. Did I just break him?

With a huff, Minato spun on his heel and stormed out, slamming the door so hard it bounced open again.

Seisui winced at the sight of his new front door.

That's my brand-new house, damn it!

Stupid Minato!

When he was finally gone, Haru turned back and plated the last dish.

Seisui's earlier mood was gone after all that chaos.

Once the final plate was set on the table, Seisui sat down, his eyes fixed on Haru.

Every woman of the Uchiha clan who'd ever appeared in the original story always seemed so gentle and elegant—and Haru was no different.

Man, the Uchiha women are all model housewives, Seisui thought. Too bad the men are all lunatics.

Feeling his gaze, Haru's cheeks reddened again. "Why are you staring at me like that?"

"I was just thinking."

"Thinking what?" she asked, confused.

"Thinking how gentle you are," he said with a smile. "You'll make a great wife someday, Haru."

Her face turned even redder.

"I'm… not that great."

"No—you're the best, to me," Seisui said firmly, taking her hand.

Just then, Tsunade walked in.

She stopped mid-step, her expression twisting into one of pure exasperation.

"Ahem."

The two turned toward her.

Unbothered, Seisui grinned. "Tsunade-sensei, come sit! Haru made this especially for you!"

Tsunade sat down with a snort. "Especially for me? Please. This was made for you."

"We're just freeloaders here."

"No way—you're our honored guest!" Seisui said shamelessly.

Tsunade stared at him, speechless. This guy's face is thicker than the Hokage Rock.

She wasn't used to people like Seisui—too smooth, too cheeky.

But before she could say anything else, Minato returned with Kushina, Konan, and the others in tow.

As soon as Nawaki entered, he whistled.

"Whoa! Seisui, your place is amazing!"

Seisui laughed. "You guys can come over anytime. It's pretty spacious."

And it was—besides the big house, he'd even dug out a swimming pool in the courtyard.

Since most of the Senju clan were elderly, and the Uzumaki didn't have many members left, he practically had the place to himself.

Haru had cooked enough to feed a small army, and even with nine people, they couldn't finish everything.

Tsunade leaned back in her chair, a toothpick between her lips. "Heard from Kushina you're going on a mission?"

"Yeah." Seisui nodded, glancing at Minato—clearly the one who spilled the news—but didn't mind. "We're heading to the Land of Hot Water for a mission."

He'd almost said vacation but caught himself.

Tsunade shot him a look. "Just say you're going there to play. You don't need to hide it."

"You're a jinchuriki now. The old man won't restrict your freedom, but he's not going to assign you dangerous missions either."

"No need to pretend."

Her words puzzled everyone except Haru and Kushina.

They didn't know what a jinchuriki was.

But Minato seemed thoughtful, watching Seisui closely.

He wasn't stupid—just lazy to think when Seisui was around.

Still, he'd studied sealing arts under Uzumaki Mito for years and knew at least something about the term.

A jinchuriki… the ultimate weapon of a village.

Thinking back to yesterday's enormous chakra blast, Minato's eyes narrowed.

That power—one shot like that could erase Konoha.

He still honestly believed Seisui had used a chakra cannon.

Meanwhile, Seisui rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "Still… I'd rather keep things proper."

"Fine, whatever," Tsunade shrugged. "If any of you girls want to learn the Yin Seal, come to me—I'll teach you myself."

Then she glanced at the group and added, "Girls only. That jutsu can't be learned by men."

At that, Haru frowned slightly. "Tsunade-sensei, what kind of technique is the Yin Seal?"

"S-rank," Tsunade replied casually with a shrug.
