But she couldn't be too sure. What if he wasn't the one, and it was only someone with a similar voice? She was still contemplating on what to do when the voice spoke up again.
"April? Are you alright?" The voice was calm and very kind.
"Adrian?" she managed to call, holding her breath.
He chuckled. "You are bleeding. What did you think you were trying to do back there? You think you've suddenly got some super powers or something?"
She managed to swallow, as her voice choked back on her tears. "You are alive, Adrian. You were not dead after all."
He smiled again as he drove on. "I really don't wanna talk about that, right now, because I don't want to believe you left me there for dead. I would only believe you ran to get help, and refused to treat me yourself because you were so shocked and scared."
