"Yeah, let's just call it New York for now."

Gesturing to the "Dimensional Battlefield" before them, the Ancient One briefly explained the concept of "dimensional fusion" to Luca.

In layman's terms, it was the process where two independent dimensions collided, devoured each other, and eventually merged into one.

However, since dimensions varied in strength, fusion usually meant the stronger dimension completely consumed the weaker one, turning it into fuel for its own growth.

The Hell Dimension was notorious across the multiverse precisely because its vast territories and diverse environments were the result of constantly swallowing other weaker planes over eons.

The "red and blue rifts" Luca had created on Earth were essentially scars left by the two dimensions trying to open a "gate" at the exact same node on Earth simultaneously, clashing and fighting for dominance.

Because neither side gained a decisive upper hand, the Hell Gate couldn't open properly. Neither creatures from the Hextech Dimension nor the Hell Dimension could enter Earth through those rifts.

"A collision between portals?"

"So the 'Dehydration Gun' actually works by using Hextech energy to transport objects away? No wonder it couldn't compress the Hell Gate..."

Listening to the Ancient One, Luca muttered to himself.

In fact, he had never stopped researching the Dehydration Gun.

It was just too useful. If he could replicate it, even imperfectly, it would save him a lot of trouble.

At the very least, sealing the "Cluster Series" missiles wouldn't tie up his superweapon for so long.

However, because the Dehydration Gun's structure was too simple—yes, too simple—and many of its functions relied on conceptual powers, Luca hadn't made any substantial progress.

He had only figured out that the item worked using Hextech energy and spatial forces.

Perhaps sensing Luca's confusion, the Ancient One projected a scene directly in front of him.

In a corner of the Hextech Dimension, amidst the empty cosmos, a large pile of random objects floated quietly, wrapped in blue light.

Scraps and debris, the Boxer Gundam, various missile models, mechanical soldiers, vehicle armor... even half of a wrecked Dark Elf warship that Luca had almost forgotten about were all listed there.

"Space and time. These are fundamental forces possessed by almost all dimensions and worlds. Your 'Dehydration Gun' essentially utilizes these two forces to preserve items," the Ancient One said calmly.

But right now, Luca couldn't care less about the mechanics. He felt embarrassed enough to curl his toes. "You... you can see everything I've stored in there??"

Holy shit. Then... then those... those things... don't tell me she saw those too?!

"Relax. I have no interest in prying into others' privacy. It's just that your Hextech Dimension is so empty that anything new stands out like a sore thumb."

The Ancient One said she had no interest in prying?

Whether anyone else believed it or not, Luca sure as hell didn't!

Bullshit! From now on, when I use the Dehydration Gun, everything gets put in a box first!

But the Ancient One didn't seem interested in chatting about Luca's stash. She steered the conversation back to "dimensional fusion."

As a product—or rather, a rule—of the collision between two dimensions, there were generally two ways to drive fusion.

One was to let the two dimensions collide naturally, allowing their energies to evolve on their own, eventually following the law of the jungle where the big fish eats the little fish, leaving behind a single, new, complete dimension.

Although powerful Dimensional Lords usually had underhanded methods to speed up this process, it still took a very long time.

And in the current situation between Hextech and Hell, Mephisto was being held back by the Ancient One and couldn't return. Luca, on the other hand, was a novice who barely had a pinky toe in the realm of Dimensional Gods. He couldn't even control his own dimension, let alone manage a complex fusion.

The second method, which allowed for faster devouring, was this "Dimensional Battlefield."

Usually, when two different dimensions accidentally collided, a zone—or channel—where their powers merged would appear within each dimension.

The energy, matter, and even living beings of both worlds could clash, destroy, and kill each other in this zone. When they were annihilated, their inherent energy would merge into the battlefield and eventually be "distributed evenly" to both sides to strengthen their respective dimensions.

However, this "even distribution" was deceptive.

If one side suffered massive casualties while the other lost very little, the loser's power effectively flowed into the enemy's dimension. Eventually, the balance of power would tip, and the loser would be completely swallowed by the winner.

"As I said, because your Hextech Dimension is so empty, I spotted the Dimensional Battlefield the moment it appeared."

"Hell, on the other hand, is complex and vast. With Mephisto unable to intervene, it will likely take them some time to find the projection of this battlefield within the Hell Dimension."

"So, in this window before the war officially starts, you can set up the battlefield, deploy your troops, and prepare as much as you like."

After listening to the Ancient One, even if he didn't grasp every nuance, Luca understood the gist of her plan. Staring at the massive red and blue battlefield, he pondered for a moment before speaking slowly.

"If... and I mean if... the Hextech Dimension completely devours the Hell Dimension, does that mean Mephisto will die too?!"

Hearing this, the Ancient One's thought projection smiled and gave a definitive answer.

"Correct!"

"Mephisto is a typical Demon God who has merged with his dimension. As long as Hell exists, he will never truly die. Killing or sealing him only restricts him temporarily."

"Only by completely destroying the Hell Dimension can he be permanently exterminated."

For some reason, when the Ancient One mentioned "permanently exterminating Mephisto," Luca felt a strange surge of excitement.

"While Mephisto isn't home... I steal his property! Kill his minions! Take his land! And finally... Hehehehe~"

A wolfish green glint flashed in his eyes. Now, the most critical question was...

"If we're going to fight a dimensional war... where do I get the troops?!"
