Matthew Wells was a 17 year old depressed teenager. Growing up, he was never good at communicating. He was hardly a popular figure. This left him without any genuine, long-lasting friendships. Thus he suffered from loneliness, which eventually turned into depression.
But that was not the end of his suffering. His father, John Wells died when he was just two years old. Hence, he grew up without a father figure. He didn't know how his father died. His mother told him that his father died in an accident. Whenever he saw his neighbours and his classmates with their father, he used to grow sad. Until one day, it no longer occupied his psyche.
At the age of 14 his mother, Aliyah Wells was diagnosed with breast cancer. He felt as if the ground swept from beneath his feet. He became very worried for his mother. Whenever he was too worried for his mother, she would say with tired eyes that everything was going to be ok. But that did not dissipate his worries. He used to cry a lot when he was alone. But there was no one to console him. He was not a religious person but, he still prayed to many gods of different religions, hoping that a miracle would happen and his mother would be cured of her life threatening disease.
But in the end nothing mattered. Last week his mother passed away. At the age of 17 he finally became an orphan. He had seen his mother's health decline over the years, and he knew that it would have happened eventually. But nothing could have prepared him for her inevitable death. He cried like there was no tomorrow. He still couldn't believe that she was gone forever. He didn't know what to do anymore. At last, he decided to end it all. What could he possibly live for anyway?
"Mom, dad both of you are gone. I don't know what to do anymore. I am sorry mom. I couldn't live on happily after you were gone. I am weak and a coward. I couldn't fulfill your wishes." After saying this Matthew went to the edge of the top of his house. Then he spotted it. "Huh what is this? What is glowing over here?" He went near a corner where he saw a glowing orb. After deciding for a while he finally decided to touch it and examin what it was.
All of a sudden the world around him turned black. "Wh-what is happening?" He looked around himself. It was black everywhere. Then he heard an ethereal, genderless voice. "Child, look over here". Matthew was shocked, then he looked upward and saw the glowing orb. "Wh-who are you? Where am I"? The orb said " I am a part of The Primordial Consciousness. We are currently in the Omni-directional void."
Matthew was surprised. "You are The Primordial Consciousness? This is the Omni-directional void? I don't understand."
The orb said "I am a part of The Primordial Consciousness. Not it's whole. The Primordial Consciousness is always in a state of deep meditation. I am a part of it, that woke up a little and became a bit more aware after sensing your enormis grief."
"Huh? You were meditating? But where? I am confused." "Let me explain child. The Primordial Consciousness is a formless, omnipresent sea of consciousness that exists in every world, universe and timeline. Everything that exists is a mere though of The Primordial Consciousness. Hence The Primordial Consciousness is the origin of everything , even you.
Matthew couldn't believe it. So the Truth of reality, existence and everything was explained to him directly. " But why do you not appear every the time? Many people carry huge grievances, but you do not appear to them."
"My child, whether I wake up or not is a case of probability. When I sensed your grief, the probability of a part of me waking up from my deep meditation increase but it is not absolute. However I assure you that I am an all loving creator and this Omni-directional void is my highest created realm. Child I have seen your past. I know your pain. I shall grant you three boons. 1st, you shall be transmigrated in a new world, that has infinite potential. There you shall be able to make many friends and there you shall have a new family. The world is going to be a world of monsters, demons, beasts, dungeons, kingdoms and empires. 2nd, you shall have a power core called The Versatile Warrior System embedded into your consciousness. Since this is just a tiny part of me, I cannot make the power core very powerful. Hence the more you use the abilities of the power core, the stronger it is going to get. For the 3rd boon I shall give your the spiritual module called the the assimilation core. The assimilation core is complementary to the The Versatile Warrior System. It will allow the power core to harness new abilities from the environment."
Matthew Wells was speechless. "Wow, incredible. I can get a System like in those light novels. It is a wish come true. Please give it to me my lord." "There you go my child. You shall be transmigrated to the world of prime material plane ".
With that Matthew became unconscious. He later woke up in a bed surrounded by healers and herbalists. He looked around. His head was throbbing. A lot of memories entered his mind. He realised that he had finally transmigrated in his dream world. So began the journey of Matthew Wells.
