Robert's Point of View
Carlos was standing far too close to her, trying to cast his nets around Julie my "personal assistant" who had suddenly piqued his interest.
I felt a clench in my jaw, but I kept my tone calm as I said:
"Carlos, you've been forgetting a lot lately... don't let my personal assistant become the reason for your distraction."
Carlos's smile widened, and he tilted his head slightly as if accepting the challenge, replying coldly:
"Alright, dear Robert, I'll be going now."
I looked at him rigidly and added in a definitive tone:
"You'll find Luna ready for you tonight."
At that moment, I saw Carlos's features change suddenly; the smile froze on his lips, and a fleeting cruelty appeared in his eyes.
Then he turned and left without another word, leaving behind the echo of his heavy footsteps.
I turned to Julie.
