Chapter 10: Breaking the Illusion of the Past
Volt stood in the center of the Hall of Mirrors. Sai and Aki had vanished from his side, each trapped within their own unique illusion. Within the mirrors, Volt saw images of the day the gods betrayed him and stripped him of his powers.
A soft voice echoed throughout the hall: "Return to peace, Volt. Here, you can live within a past where everyone loved you."
Volt let out a laugh filled with pure malice. "Peace? I will only find peace when the thrones of your gods have turned to ash." Volt struck a mirror with his fist, but it didn't break; instead, a surge of white energy erupted, attempting to sear his arm.
"System, activate 'Dimensional Shatter'!" Volt roared.
In an instant, Volt's eyes turned a dark violet. An absolute force erupted from his body, shattering the very laws of that illusory world. Every mirror exploded simultaneously. Sai and Aki emerged from a white mist, both disoriented but unharmed.
Volt looked ahead; they were now in the heart of the palace, and the path to the King's throne room was wide open. "Your illusions are over... now it is time for the truth."
