They both continued staring at him in shock, it was getting kinda annoying honestly. He understood why Suzuka was looking at him like that, his grandchild didn't know that her new teammate was actually a child he had raised himself.

He had no real reason to be looking at him like he was insane.
Sure he may or may not have been forced to go to the hospital because he had swords growing in his bones and what not, but Okino didn't know that.
…wait a second, he was shocked momentarily when he saw him before but the real dumbfounded look on his face only appeared after Suzuka called him grandpa…

If so, then that was indeed very confusing, for Okino at least, and it would make sense why he didn't know.
He had, after all, stopped being a trainer the moment Sunday successfully transferred into tracen and took a bit too much after him when he was still a younger man…
He had never expected his children to dump so many children at his doorstep when he had retired.
It was honestly a nightmare in managing the fullness of his pantry with so many children coming and going.
The only person who had ever come close to all the kids level of gluttony combined was the legendary Oguri Cap and an old friend of his.
But anyway, none of that really mattered, he couldn't stand having the two of them look at him like fools any longer so he chose his next words extremely carefully.
"Well… it was fun, seeing the race and all, but I have to go now, sadly I can't stay and watch the concert… so bye."
And with those few words, he left before they could even say anything more.

They both stayed quiet, both trainee and trainer, were both, equally dumbfounded by what had just transpired.
One by the shock of seeing their paternal grandfather once more, and the other realizing that his old friend and mentor was his trainee's grandpa.
So, they decided to just not mention it, they still had a winners live to attend after all, it would be rude to miss, especially because their teammate won the race.
Thus, they collected the rest of their team members and went to watch the winners live.

The winners live came and went as always, it was however a truly spectacular spectacle.

"…" she said nothing for a moment and simply looked at the face of the student council president, at her dumb stupid smile at what she must have assumed was a majestic pun, sadly all it did was make her feel awful, "President…"
Symboli Rudolf let out a few chuckles before becoming serious once more, "Her strength is real, I will not deny it, she may actually be strong enough to accomplish what she said she would, Groove."
She looked at the emperor with a curious look before speaking once more, "What did she say she will do?"
The emperor, the strongest umamusume in the history of japan looked down and sighed slowly before speaking once more, "She proclaimed that she would remain undefeated and win the triple tiara. And… I am rather certain that she may even accomplish her goal."
"Undefeated and win the triple tiara?" She paused, it sounded almost absurd, many strong umamusume have won the tiara after all, but none have remained undefeated while doing so, to be able to accomplish that feat it would be all but a declaration of pure and utter dominance matched only by the person beside her and one other.
The last two able to accomplish a feat so difficult had not only effectuated a deep impact into Japanese horse racing itself but, one of the two, the emperor herself stood beside her.
For a seven G1 titan, undefeated all throughout her debut, the triple crown and only having been proclaimed to be the emperor, to say those words was… surprising to say the least.
"So… she continued, you truly believe that she can win the triple tiara, just like Apapane last year?"
"Yes, I am certain that she can and will win the triple tiara just like her senior."
"How… how can you be so sure?"
"I felt it during the race. An all encompassing gaze."
"An all encompassing gaze? Can it be…? Does she have a Zo—"

"I do not believe that to be the case, a Zone is inherently different than she had. A zone in its purest most unrelenting form is a single minded desire for victory. Hers… is different."

"Well, she most probably views any and everything all the information of the track, the field conditions the position of her fellow racers, she knows it all, she does not solely focus on the finish line. No. She pays attention to any and everything and the more grand somethings 'weight' is the more she is focused on it."
"I see, so the more something is prelevant the more she 'sees' it, correct?"
The emperor only nodded, "I can only assume so," she paused for a moment almost as if she was contemplating something, hand to her chin, she made an almost perfect match of the thinker, "However," she continued, "That would mean that a zone would be her perfect counter, the more 'weight' something has conceptually the more she pays attention to it, I can only assume that if she were a zone, fully realized or not, she would be at a severe disadvantage."
"…I see… we sure have an interesting junior, don't we Rudolf?"
"Indeed, Groove, indeed we do."

I swear, I swear, that updates will actually slow down, I just have no assignments to do that's the only reason this came out the same time as usual I SWEAR!
Ahum. What I am getting at is that even if this chapter came out at the same time as usual, it won't be like that for long.
I was assigned no readings for the week, as the two days I had school, was just to get in the method of it all, which is to say the schedule of my updates will be random until at least the month long break after the first semester, it helps that it's also the football offseason then as well.
On a completely different note… Kagurabachi is the most peak thing in existence I swear, I read the newest chapter today and… oh my god, it was just peak.
