Chapter 77 - Chapter 77 – Shatter! The Star of Mountains that Shakes the Heavens!

!!!!!!!!

Tohsaka Rin's eyes went wide. "Wait! That's not a Servant… it can't be a Servant!!"

Gilgamesh folded his arms. Looking at Rin, he said flatly, "No, she isn't. Stop shrieking; Tokiomi was far calmer than you."

"She's… not a Servant?"

Emiya Shirou didn't want to deal with Gilgamesh, but curiosity is human nature; even he couldn't help asking.

"Correct. Strictly speaking, she is our mother."

Watching the figure in the video, Gilgamesh's eyes flickered with an indescribable complexity. Calmly he said, "The mother of all life—Goddess Tiamat."

"You two, watch well. Behold the majesty of your king."

Gilgamesh believed this was the experience of a 'self' from another world; he knew he would soon appear to stop his 'mother'.

And the title made it obvious—Uruk Still Stands! Which meant he was about to shine in the spotlight.

Confidence—overwhelming confidence.

Tohsaka Rin and Emiya Shirou could feel it radiating off him.

If they hadn't already seen the clip of him getting his elbow lopped off…

…they might have looked forward to Gilgamesh's brilliant performance.

As things stood, though… they half-expected him to make a fool of himself.

"Wait!"

While secretly laughing at him, Rin suddenly realized something. She stared at Gilgamesh in shock. "How do you know my father's name?"

"It begins."

Gilgamesh didn't answer. Eyes on the screen, he said coolly, "The battle is starting."

"Hey, hey! Don't change the subject! What about my father?!" Rin exclaimed, agitated. If Gilgamesh knew her father…

…then he knew how her father had died!

"Noisy." Gilgamesh shot her a sideways glance. Golden ripples appeared beside him, a Noble Phantasm emerging to warn her not to interrupt.

A rare highlight reel of his own; in his magnanimity he would overlook Rin's rudeness.

The golden-glowing weapon made Rin clamp her mouth shut, though she filed the matter away to ask about later.

Emiya Shirou didn't intercede either; like Gilgamesh, he was focused on the footage.

Inside the video.

With Tiamat's "Aaaaaaaa!" the camera cut to the sky as three silhouettes flew in from the distance.

Two wyverns and a craft shaped like a bow.

They swooped straight toward Goddess Tiamat.

Tiamat noticed their arrival and parted her lips slightly.

'Aaaaaaaaaaa!!!'

The once-weak cry became a terrible sonic weapon, a tempest of sound battering the sky-borne figures.

"Don't get close—it's too dangerous."

The woman riding the bow-shaped craft stopped the others. Called Ishtar, she said calmly, "We finish this in one blow."

"Fujimaru." Ishtar turned to the orange-haired girl and smiled. "Cover me, would you?"

"Ah!"

Fujimaru Ritsuka nodded, raising a hand. A command spell missing one segment shimmered into view. "I'm counting on you, Ishtar!!!"

Bang—!!

A visible beam of mana struck Ishtar.

"Leave it to me!!!"

Ishtar shouted, sweeping her arm. A massive hole tore open in the sky.

Yes—an actual hole, the vast starry cosmos yawning overhead.

Across countless worlds, people stared, eyes bulging. What the hell?! How is this possible?!

"Open the gate!"

Confident, Ishtar called out. From the rift emerged a glowing golden sphere.

Yes—a planet!

At that moment, nearly everyone's eyes threatened to pop out of their sockets. Whether in the Demon Slayer World, the Akame ga Kill World, the Naruto World, or the Type-Moon/Fate World…

Most beings found the sight both inconceivable and terrifying.

Using a planet as a weapon?!! That's just cheating!!!

To the uninformed, the spectacle looked as though Ishtar really had yanked a planet down to smash her enemy.

Those in the know simply smiled and said nothing.

"Hmph!" Ishtar's crimson eyes shifted to gold. With a smug grin she flicked something skyward. "This is my full power!"

The colossal planet drew near, then rapidly shrank into a tiny golden orb.

Ishtar pointed at Goddess Tiamat ahead; the bow beside her drew back.

The golden orb became a violet arrow aimed straight at Tiamat.

"Shatter! The Star of Mountains that Shakes the Heavens!!!"

BOOM—!!

A violet pillar of light, like divine judgment, crashed straight down and struck Tiamat squarely.

With a thunderous roar,

A colossal crater appeared on the sea, and the Goddess Tiamat who had been there moments ago was gone.

"Perfect!" Ishtar, watching from above, looked utterly pleased.

"Doctor!"

Fujimaru Ritsuka called out urgently.

Dr. Roman's voice crackled back, elated: "Confirmed—Tiamat's Spirit Core in the ocean has collapsed! Her mana furnace has shut down!"

"Which means…?!" Fujimaru's face flooded with relief.

"We beat her!!!" Dr. Roman crowed.

"We did it, Senpai!" Mash cheered.

"Is she really gone?" A golden-haired woman swooped in on her wyvern.

"Yep. Once the seawater settles, we just retrieve the Holy Grail and the mission's cleared." Dr. Roman sounded delighted; the quick resolution had brightened his mood.

The blonde beauty sighed. "And I never even got to do anything."

With that, the four of them flew off toward the horizon.

The crisis seemed over.

Anyone watching the footage, however, knew it wasn't finished.

Glub-glub-glub…

Just as they relaxed, the surface began frothing with bubbles.

Dr. Roman's shout—"Everyone, evade"'—rang out.

The sea exploded. First a pair of massive horns broke the surface, then a titanic figure rose above the waves.

It was unmistakably the same Goddess Tiamat Ishtar had just blasted.
