Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Summoned After Office Hours

Vyuk was tired.

The kind of tired that settles into your bones after doing the same thing every day.

It was already past 5 PM when he returned home from office. He dropped his bag, loosened his collar, and let out a long breath.

Before he could even sit down—

Vigi came running at him.

The dog jumped around happily, tail wagging like crazy, playfully biting Vyuk's hand and pulling him toward the living room.

"Alright, alright," Vyuk laughed. "I'm home."

For a few seconds, the exhaustion disappeared.

After changing clothes, Vyuk didn't rest.

He grabbed his gym bag and headed out.

Gym was his reset button.

An hour later, he returned home, sweaty but refreshed.

Without wasting time, he sat in front of his PC.

Editing time.

One of his four YouTube channels needed a video tonight.

From the other room, loud voices echoed.

Lucifer—his elder brother—was online, talking nonsense with his friends while reading some extremely questionable manga.

Vyuk ignored it and focused on his screen.

Then suddenly—

The monitor flickered.

Once.

Twice.

Then it turned completely white.

"…What?" Vyuk frowned.

At the same moment, from the other room—

"HEY—WHY IS EVERYTHING WHITE—"

Silence.

Vyuk felt his body go light.

The floor disappeared.

He opened his eyes.

White.

Nothing but white.

In front of him sat a woman on a floating chair. Elegant. Calm. Overwhelming.

A goddess.

She smiled.

"Hello, Vyuk."

"…Who are you?" he asked.

"I heard you're bored with your life."

"What the hell?" Vyuk replied instantly.

"I never said that. I meet my fans. I enjoy what I do."

"Hmmm," the goddess hummed. "Then I summoned the wrong customer."

Vyuk blinked.

Customer?

Before he could respond—

"Yo."

Lucifer appeared beside him, hands in his pockets, completely relaxed.

Vyuk turned. "Brother—"

"Where are we?" Lucifer asked casually.

Vyuk pointed forward. "Just… look."

Lucifer looked.

Paused.

"…Damn. Too much. Big."

The goddess's smile vanished.

"What did you just say?"

Vyuk panicked. "WAIT—HE DIDN'T MEAN ANYTHING—"

"You two are incredibly vulgar," the goddess said coldly.

Lucifer shrugged. "Eyes work faster than the brain."

The goddess sighed and waved her hand.

A strange pressure hit Lucifer's mind—his thoughts instantly cleaned, emptied, reset.

"…Hey," Lucifer muttered. "That felt illegal."

"Behave," the goddess said. "Now listen."

She stood up.

"I plan to send you both to another fantasy world. You can return to your own world whenever you want."

Vyuk's eyes lit up. "Abilities?"

"Yes."

He leaned forward immediately.

"Can I use powers of all the anime characters I've ever watched?"

Lucifer snapped his head toward him. "Bro—"

The goddess smiled. "Yes. But only one ability at a time.

Once used, that ability will be on one-month cooldown."

Vyuk froze.

"…One month?"

"Yes."

She snapped her fingers.

A bark echoed.

"Vigi?" Vyuk shouted.

Light surrounded the dog.

When it faded, Vigi stood there in human form.

The goddess spoke calmly.

"Your dog possesses an ability: an endless barrier. It never breaks."

Vyuk stared.

"…That's all?"

The goddess raised an eyebrow. "You sound disappointed."

Vyuk sighed. "A little."

She turned away.

"Fine. Vyuk, you and your dog will go first."

Lucifer frowned. "What about me?"

"I still have business with you," the goddess replied.

Vyuk grabbed Lucifer's sleeve. "You'll come later, right?"

Lucifer smirked. "Try not to die before I arrive."

Light swallowed Vyuk and Vigi.

Just before disappearing, Vyuk heard the goddess say—

"I'll send your brother soon."

And just like that—

His boring life ended.
