Chapter 303 - Chapter 301: The Ascension — Life Return

After three hard days on the road, Euron, Ned, and Oberyn finally reached Nightsong in the dead of night.

They were warmly received by the Lord of the Marches, Beric Caron. After a hearty meal and leaving instructions for the stable hands to tend to their mounts, the three men retired to their chambers.

They were set to ride for the Tower of Joy at first light.

But sleep didn't come to Euron. Before facing what lay ahead at the tower, he had a treasury to spend—a massive accumulation of Soul Points and Credits from his "Pirate King System" that needed to be converted into raw power.

Deep in the damp dungeons of the Twins, Euron Greyjoy had executed a kill no mortal eye could perceive. Dark power, born of the God of "Life Debt," had flooded his veins, granting him not just physical might, but a bounty of 100,000 Soul Points and 60,000 Credits.

But the true harvest came from the Usurper's War itself.

The bloated corpses drifting down the Trident, the ghosts wailing beneath the walls of King's Landing, the dead of Harrenhal... countless souls extinguished in the fires of war had become a cold, screaming river in his blood. 520,000 Soul Points and 58,000 Credits—a heavy weight, etched with the memory of every life he'd reaped.

---

Euron uncorked that flood of Soul Points, pouring it into the floating core of light—the entity he called "Sun Apollo."

The points burned away fast. The death-rattle of 280,000 souls screamed silently in the void, becoming fuel for divine fire. The sphere of light shifted. It wasn't just chaotic burning anymore; it condensed, taking shape. In the center of that blinding corona, a face began to form. Eyes made of pure radiance opened, filled with will. Below them, a crack tore open the halo to form a mouth.

Most unsettling of all were the teeth—rows of compressed, white-hot flame. It was no longer a symbol. It was alive. A newborn soul of scorching heat.

The remaining 310,000 points drifted toward the roiling storm cloud—"Thor."

The massive injection of energy made the black mass swell violently. Purple lightning danced inside, wild and blinding. It, too, reached its full form. Feral eyes made of arcing electricity opened in the gloom, followed by a gaping maw. It shot a glance at its brother, the blazing Apollo, with a look of playful rivalry.

Then, pale lightning wove together in its mouth, compressing until it formed rows of jagged, shining teeth. Not solid bone, but highly concentrated energy—a terrifying, blinding white.

Euron stared at the last 10,000 Soul Points flickering in his mind like candles in a gale. He didn't save them. He poured the last drop of power out, whispering a new name:

"Gale—Belloa!"

The air at his feet twitched. A tiny, almost invisible cyclone spun into existence. At first, it was no taller than a boot, clinging to his ankle. It greedily drank the last of the soul energy, growing to the height of his calf.

"Belloa" had no blinding light or deafening thunder. It was a silent, semi-transparent vortex of compressed air. Deep inside, two darker swirls formed eyes, and a horizontal tear became a mouth. It was frail compared to the majesty of Apollo and Thor, but it was a start. It floated by Euron's side, a ghostly contrast to the sun and the storm guarding their master.

With his elemental servants forged, Euron turned his attention to his own body. He began to burn his Credits to upgrade the Six Powers (Rokushiki).

Finally, Euron sank his consciousness into the terrifying power that defined a true king—Conqueror's Haki.

It had been stuck at the peak of the Third Tier for too long, like an ancient dragon chained in the dark. Every breath it took made the space around him tremble.

With a thought, he poured Credits into the invisible chains.

Snap.

A sound like breaking glass echoed in his soul. His Haki surged violently into the Fourth Tier! The atmosphere around Euron grew heavy and dangerous. Even standing still, invisible ripples seemed to distort the air, twisting the light before his eyes.

Next Stage: To reach the Fifth Tier required a staggering 16,000 Credits.

He only had 6,000 left.

Without hesitation, Euron locked those 6,000 Credits away, like a general hoarding his last reserves of gold for the decisive battle. A thought hardened in his mind, cold as iron: No matter how treacherous the path, no matter how long the harvest took, he would push this power—this absolute domination—to a peak no mortal had ever touched.
