Chapter 2 - Chapter :2 Feeling lonely

🌸 AYESHA'S POV

I woke up earlier than usual today.

Not because I wanted to… but because sleep never really stayed with me last night. It was there — half peace, half restlessness — like my mind refused to believe I had actually started a new life.

I sat up slowly on my hostel bed and looked around.

Silence.

Complete silence.

No voices. No laughter. No roommates.

Just me.

"I think I am too early… or maybe they are too late," I whispered to myself, letting out a small laugh. 😊

The room was large enough for three people, yet right now it felt even bigger because I was alone. Three beds. Three cupboards. Three study tables.

And only one person breathing inside it.

Honestly… I didn't mind.

Being alone felt safer.

No introductions. No awkward smiles. No explaining who I am.

"My name is Ayesha Sah… but you can call me Ayesha," I practiced softly, shaking my head immediately after. "No… too formal." yes this is how I introduce to myself to others .

I stretched my arms and sighed dramatically.

"Why am I feeling so many emotions at once?" 😵‍💫Excited. Nervous. Curious. Lonely.

"The mix of feelings inside me is literally increasing my blood pressure," I muttered, placing a hand on my chest dramatically. 😂

Alright. Enough thinking.

hurrrry... i spoke to myself my fav part to settle everything .

I opened my luggage and started arranging everything carefully.

Clothes first.

I folded each outfit neatly and placed them inside my cupboard, choosing the side near the window as my space.

Then came my favorite part but to be honest only sometimes this is my fav part — my study area.

I cleaned the table slowly and arranged it exactly how I imagined.

✨ Aesthetic. Calm. Pinterest-like.

"How peaceful this looks…" I smiled.

I placed my digital watch at the corner so I could always see the time. Then I pinned some of my drawings in front of the table — sketches, fabric ideas, unfinished designs.

My world.

My comfort.

Suddenly I gasped.

"Oh my God! How could I forget?" 😲

Carefully, I took out the handmade Radha Krishna frame I had created myself.

 Radhe Radhe… 🙏

I placed it gently above my study desk and adjusted it until it felt perfect.

Not too decorative.Not too simple.

Just exactly I want it

"I don't know who my roommates are yet," I said softly, stepping back to observe the room. "So let's not make everything too aesthetic right now."

One by one, I organized everything:

First shelf: important personal items

Second shelf: college documents and books

Third shelf: laptop, tablet, digital iPad

Fourth shelf: fashion-design materials 🎨

Fifth shelf: small tools and essentials for designing

My sketch board rested beside the table like a loyal companion.

Then I made my bed — simple bedsheet, clean pillow covers, soft cushions.

Nothing fancy.

Just comfort.

I placed a water bottle, tumbler, and a few utensils near the bedside.

When I finally looked around, I noticed something.

"The room still looks dull…" 😐

But then I smiled.

"I can't change everything. I'll just make my corner beautiful."

That was enough.

The best surprise?

Each student had a private washroom.

"Oh my God, I'm actually lucky," I laughed. "Scholarship really saved me." 😄

After arranging my toiletries, I took a long shower.

Warm water washed away some of the nervousness.

When I stepped out, exhaustion suddenly hit me.

"I'm so tired… after doing almost nothing."

My stomach growled.

🍽️ HOSTEL DINING HALL

The dining hall was noisy — students everywhere, laughter bouncing off walls.

I held my tray carefully and sat alone.

Big mistake.

Because within seconds, someone pulled a chair beside me.

"Hello! I'm Aryan."

I looked up briefly. "Hello… I'm Ayesha Sah."

He smiled casually. "So… you're new?"

"Yes."

"You're from fashion designing?"

"Yes."

"Oh wow, same field! Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too," I replied politely, focusing on my food.

He leaned slightly closer. "Do you know anyone here?"

I frowned.

"Why are you asking me that?"

He raised his hands quickly. "Relax, I was just trying to talk."

"I prefer eating peacefully," I said firmly.

For a moment, silence sat between us.

Then he laughed lightly. "Okay, okay… sorry."

But something about his tone annoyed me.

"Please," I added, slightly sharper now, "let me eat in peace."

He nodded and stood up.

"Alright. See you around."

As soon as he left, I muttered under my breath:

"Oh my God… people here are so exhausting." 😤

🔥 ARYAN'S POV

I walked away, slightly shocked.

"Wow… she's rude."

But then I paused.

"…and unbelievably beautiful."

I glanced back at her.

She wasn't like other girls trying to impress anyone. No fake smiles. No unnecessary talking.

Just… real.

Before going to her, I had already noticed her.

Who is she?Why does she feel different?

And now—

"She didn't even let me finish talking," I laughed softly. "Still… interesting."

My friend nudged me. "Bro, rejected already?"

"Not rejected," I smirked. "Just… challenged."

I looked back once more.

"I'll find out who she is."

📞 AYESHA'S POV — CALL WITH RIYA

After lunch, I immediately called my best friend.

"Riya!"

"AYESHA! How's Delhi?" 😄

"Oh my God, don't even ask," I groaned. "People here are so strange."

"What happened?"

"There was this boy — super friendly, super annoying. Talking like we already knew each other!"

Riya laughed loudly. "You scared him, didn't you?"

"Maybe…" I admitted. "But seriously, I just want peace."

"You'll adjust," she said gently. "You always do."

Her voice made me feel lighter.

After talking for a while, I returned to my room feeling calmer.

🌙 EVENING — HOSTEL NOTICE

As I was heading for dinner, a staff member called me.

Are you "Ayesha Sah from fashion designing?"

"Yes, ma'am " I said

"Your roommates will arrive tomorrow. Since you came first, you may choose your side."

"Oh… can you tell me their names?"

She hesitated, then smiled slightly.

"One is Sonakshi. The other is Priyanjali."

"Oh… wow."

"Be ready tomorrow."

"Thank you, Miss Williams," I said politely.

As I walked toward dinner, excitement replaced loneliness.

"Tomorrow… I won't be alone anymore." 😊

🌌 NIGHT

Back in the room, I cleaned a little — sweeping, dusting, arranging things again.

Not perfect.

But comfortable.

Before sleeping, I folded clothes for tomorrow and lay down quietly.

I closed my eyes and whispered:

"God… I don't know what kind of people my roommates are… but please let them be kind. Even if they don't understand me… just don't let them disturb my peace."

A pause.

"And please… no more people like that Aryan boy." 😑

I turned to the side, smiling faintly.

And felt asleep....😴 💤 😪 🌙 🛌 😌 💤✨ 😴🌙 💤💤 😪💤
