Chapter 73 - Chapter 73 Deathly Aura

Hun Changqing naturally couldn't trust Hai Bodong, a mere tool coerced into coming by him. While his Taiyin True Qi couldn't suppress the Black River Yin Qi, it easily suppressed Hai Bodong's icy battle qi.

It could be said that since Hai Bodong built the ice bridge, control had been lost. Even if Hai Bodong activated the ice bridge and caused it to dissipate, his Taiyin True Qi could instantly stabilize it.

If Hai Bodong dared to show the slightest sign of abnormality after he stepped onto the bridge, Hun Changqing would immediately find him by the mark left on Hai Bodong's body after exploring the valley. He

would then brutally kill all of Hai Bodong's clansmen except for Mittel Yafei in front of him, finally taking him to the Soul Palace to enjoy various exquisite punishments.

As for what Yafei would think afterward? Sorry, that was beyond Hun Changqing's consideration. Anyone who opposed him had to be prepared to bear his wrath.

Although Hun Changqing's Yin True Qi couldn't suppress the Yin Qi of the Black River, resisting its invasion wasn't difficult.

On the ice bridge, Hun Changqing wasn't significantly affected by the Yin Qi emanating from the river and moved forward very quickly.

Sensing that Hai Bodong wasn't making any unusual moves, Hun Changqing's Yin True Qi circulated wildly again, accelerating his movement even faster than before.

A moment later, only faint afterimages remained on the ice bridge, and Hun Changqing had already crossed it and stepped onto the land on the opposite bank of the Black River.

After regaining his footing, Hun Changqing turned to look at Hai Bodong, who was slumped on the opposite bank, exhausted from his battle qi. His eyes narrowed slightly as he said,

"Hai Bodong, you did well this time. Seeing as you're so sensible, I'll spare your life. You don't need to worry about the rest. You can go back, or you can stay here and cultivate."

Hai Bodong was startled, then secretly relieved. He realized Hun Changqing was definitely wary of him; if he had really attacked, he would have been dead, which would have been a good outcome!

Hai Bodong quickly dragged his weak body to his feet and said to Hun Changqing,

"Thank you, sir! It is my honor to serve you!"

Hun Changqing nodded, gave Hai Bodong a meaningful look, and then turned and left.

Before long, Hun Changqing had reached the foot of the mountain. He was shrouded in a black robe, his figure ethereal and ghostly, blending seamlessly with the surrounding silent, terrifying darkness.

Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, Hun Changqing felt an unparalleled surge of yin energy mixed with death rush towards him, frantically assaulting the light barrier formed by his Three Lights Divine Water, attempting to invade his body and erode his life force.

Although the light barrier blocked all this yin and death energy, Hun Changqing still felt his Taiyin True Qi circulating somewhat sluggishly.

Looking up, he saw no flowers, trees, or vegetation on the mountain, only strangely shaped and sized black rocks, each seemingly carrying the scent of death. A cold aura emanated from these rocks, heavy with lifelessness.

The mountain itself wasn't particularly tall, but rather appeared as if pieced together from countless black rocks, extremely eerie and awkward. A black mist shrouded the summit, obscuring its entirety.

An unparalleled aura of terror emanated from the black mist, the source of all the strange occurrences in the valley, the origin of all the Yin energy.

Even Hun Changqing, whose body was imbued with Yin True Qi, couldn't help but tremble slightly as he felt the Yin energy overflowing from the mountaintop.

Hun Changqing was also somewhat horrified, but he quickly calmed his chaotic thoughts, took a deep breath, and leaped up the steep mountainside. His

illusory black shadow flickered and darted across the mountain peak, using the strangely protruding rocks to leap and traverse, heading towards the black mist at the summit. The mountain peaks appeared steep and precipitous, towering into the clouds, but for Hun Changqing, this height was nothing. Normally, he could easily leap up such a height using his movement techniques. However, the higher Hun Changqing climbed, the greater the pressure became   .

The aura of death and chilling coldness constantly assaulted him, making his movements difficult.   At this moment, Hun Changqing landed on a rather protruding, strange rock in the mountainside, his brow furrowed. Along the way, a considerable amount of Yin energy had passed through the light barrier and invaded his body.   The light barrier was now riddled with holes and on the verge of collapse. Knowing that haste was not an option, Hun Changqing immediately sat cross-legged on the strange rock.   He took out two pills, swallowed them, and activated the two streams of divine water within his body. The Three Lights Divine Water protected him from the unfamiliar Yin energy that eroded him, while the Weak Water circulated, decomposing and refining the Black Mountain Yin energy within his body.   At this moment, Hun Changqing was enveloped in a radiant, multicolored glow, beautiful as a dream, its dazzling brilliance instantly illuminating the dark, desolate mountain peak.   Hun Changqing's eyes were tightly closed, a silver light reflecting off his exquisite face beneath his hood, mirroring the radiance around him. A   terrifying, chilling aura emanated from him, subtly resisting the eerie yin energy emanating from the mountain peak, as he focused all his energy on refining it.   "Hoo!"   After a moment, the radiance on Hun Changqing's body gradually faded, the silver light on his face slowly receding and disappearing into his body, as he exhaled a breath of turbid air.   He had completely refined the invading yin energy, and even dissected and refined the wisp of death energy hidden within it.   "This dense aura of death is extremely similar to that yin energy, but fundamentally different. It directly invades the body, eroding life force.   No wonder this place is so desolate, devoid of any living creatures; it's all due to the influence of this death aura. It's truly domineering, extinguishing life wherever it passes. Complementing the yin energy, its power is not to be underestimated."   Hun Changqing sensed the death aura he had just refined, his eyes gleaming. This death aura and yin energy complemented each other; if he could find the source of this death aura and refine it, the power of his Taiyin True Qi would be far more than just a slight increase.   Thinking of this, he looked up at the black mist not far above, his eyes filled with greed. He knew that place held the answer he sought.   Without further hesitation, he replenished his true qi once more, his entire body erupting with true qi. The Three Lights Divine Water condensed into a light barrier once more, and he charged towards the mountain peak again, braving the endless yin energy.
