"What are we even gonna find here, Raiden? This place looks like humans have not touched it for decades, and you are telling me that Mother heard a human cry from this direction last night?"Luna Starblade a woman who seemed to be in her twenties with a fair skin wearing a leather vest and holding a knife in her hands was complaining to Raiden Starblade a woman in her thirties wearing heavy woolen sweater and a cloak holding a staff with a glowing blue orb attached to the top of it as the were venturing forth to frosty forests with snow piled up on trees which were as long as their sight could reach. "Stop whining and focus on investigating the forest. And keep your guard up, there is something odd about this place". "You are just being superficial, Raiden, there isn't even any animal or insect in this place "." Exactly, even though we have ventured so far into this forest, we haven't encountered even a single animal or bird, moreover the temperature inside the forest is oddly warmer as compared to outside of the forest "." Now that you mention it, encountering no wildlife in an area uninhabited by humans is indeed strange."
As they were discussing amongst themselves, Raiden heard a slight sound of crying and quietly told Luna to follow the sound. Upon reaching the sound, Luna quickly held out her dagger and slashed at the source, but was held back by vines binding her hands originating from the snow below her ."What are you doing, Raiden ?"Raiden, who had held out her staff whose orb was now glowing green, and she was chanting a spell "vine o gracias bind thee force with thous miracles" After she had finished chanting the spell, she said, "It's just a kid Luna " .When Luna looked at the source, she herself was taken aback when she saw that it really was a kid crying ,wrapped in a red blanket with a gold amulet around his neck and a letter on the blanket. Luna quickly picked the kid up and gave Raiden the letter. The Baby had blonde hair, and his eyes were dark blue like the night sky. He looked at Luna and stopped crying. "He looks like a noble's child. What was he doing here all alone?" Luna asked Raiden, but she didn't give any answer. She opened the letter and took out a paper which was stained with blood. "What does the letter say?" Luna asked Raiden, and Raiden read out loud," To whoever finds this letter, please take care of the child ".. "Who would leave such a cutie out here in the wild ?" Luna exclaimed, "Oh my god, look how adorable he looks while he sleeps" The child was now sleeping in Luna's arms peacefully, and his blonde hair was settled on his eyes. "Looks like he is a child of a fallen noble family . Let's get out of here and inform mother about the situation before the baby catches a cold." Raiden declared, and Luna nodded and started following Raiden when something shining caught her eye ."Raiden, wait there is something behind that stone boulder". Raiden quickly went behind the boulder and found a pair of long swords , both dull and rusty, like they hadn't been used for a long time and would likely break after using them a few times. She carries it with her, believing that the child's parents left it for him, and then proceeds to leave the forest alongside Luna and the kid.
During late night when the sky was dark, and the moon was shining, illuminating the snowy lands with its white light The three of them reached a Church surrounded by trees. The church looked old, and its walls had finely carved symbols of Christ's sufferings and lessons. Raiden opens the gate, and a lady dressed like a priestess asks her, "What took you so long?". "We were investigating the forest as you ordered, Mother, and found a child stranded alone in the wild". Luna hands the child over to the priestess and asks, "Where is Hina?". "She is sleeping in the cradle" , the priestess replies ."We have now got to take care of two infants, huh?" Raiden says with a sigh. The priestess cradled the child gently, her voice calm yet solemn. "The gods do not abandon children," she said. "They place them where their trials must begin." Raiden exhaled slowly. "The stars do not guide every soul," she whispered, "but for some… they bend." ."You can say so. May this child's life be filled with happiness and prosperity"
