"What do you mean?" I asked, my heart starting to race. "I'm not going anywhere with you." I tried to pull my hand away but she held on tighter.
"Why? You don't even belong. If you stay any longer you'll be stuck here for the rest of your life. The real you will be gone from the real world."
That made me panic.
I'd lost hope after I was caught trying to sneak out of the school. So much that now the option to actually go home presented itself, I found myself hesitating.
"What? You don't want to go back home?"
I was about to answer when the restroom door was pushed open. Looks like I hadn't locked it properly. My eyes froze when I saw Madeleine, she didn't look happy at the sight in front of her.
"I've been looking all over the place for you." She eyed Ms. Coraline. "What are you two doing in here?"
Ms. Coraline flashed me a smile. "Think about what I just said. You have until the next stop to decide."
