Chapter 133 - Chapter 133

Hearing their King speak, no one had any objections.

After all, it was voluntary... wasn't it?

The only reason no one had protested earlier was because nobody wanted to get dragged into that mess. Rasa had wanted to object at first, but the moment he started to raise his hand, both women shot him a glare at the same time.

That instantly made cold sweat break out down his back.

Being stared down by two terrifying women at once... who in their right mind wouldn't panic?

Rasa was already one of the weaker people in the room to begin with. The moment those two locked onto him, he stiffened, swallowed his words, then quietly lowered his hand and shut his eyes as if he had seen absolutely nothing.

When the others saw that, they became even less interested in saying anything.

Who would be stupid enough to walk straight into the line of fire?

It had nothing to do with them anyway. Watching from the sidelines was more than enough.

With Namikaze Kirito declaring the meeting over, Terumi Mei and Tsunade both stood up at the same time, almost as if they had been waiting for that exact moment.

Tsunade folded her arms beneath her chest and gave Mei a sharp look.

"So, Mizukage, you want to settle this now?"

Mei smiled sweetly, but there wasn't a trace of warmth in it.

"Of course. I've wanted to see for myself just how strong one of the legendary Sannin really is."

Tsunade let out a dry laugh.

"And I've been curious too. I want to see whether the famous beauty of the Mist is all reputation... or if there's actually some substance behind it."

The air between them instantly turned cold.

"Hmph."

"Hmph."

The two of them snorted at the same time, then walked out of the meeting room side by side, heading straight for the training ground reserved for the elders.

No matter how irritated they were, they both still had enough sense not to make a scene in front of the village.

That much, at least, satisfied Namikaze Kirito.

As for letting them fight, he had no intention of stopping it.

If these women didn't have someone else to aim at, then sooner or later, he'd be the one caught in the middle.

Better to let them settle it here and now.

If they could vent all their frustration in one battle, then he might finally get a few days of peace afterward.

That was the real reason Kirito had agreed so easily.

Before long, everyone arrived at the open training field.

Tsunade and Terumi Mei stood facing each other from opposite ends of the grounds.

Mei brushed a strand of hair back behind her ear and smiled faintly.

"Lady Tsunade, I should warn you... I'm not very good at holding back. Try not to get hurt."

Tsunade rolled her shoulders and smirked.

"That's fine. I'm a medical ninja. Even if I break you, I can patch you back up after."

Mei's eye twitched.

Tsunade's smile widened.

Neither woman bothered hiding it anymore.

The next moment, the warmth vanished from their eyes, replaced by pure frost.

Then Mei moved first.

"Water Release: Hidden Mist Technique!"

A thick white mist burst from Mei's mouth and rapidly spread across the field. In the blink of an eye, the entire training ground was swallowed in fog, visibility dropping to almost nothing.

Mist shinobi were experts when it came to fighting in this kind of environment, and Mei was no exception.

As Tsunade's figure disappeared into the mist, Mei raised two slender fingers to her lips, almost as if she were blowing a kiss.

"Lava Release: Melting Apparition Technique."

The next instant, a stream of viscous, yellow acidic mist poured from her mouth.

This was one of Mei's Bloodline Limit techniques.

Its corrosive power was terrifying—strong enough that, under the right conditions, even Susanoo's defense could be eaten away by it.

That alone showed just how dangerous it was.

The acid hissed as it spread through the mist. Flowers, grass, loose stone, even the earth itself began to melt away wherever it passed.

The spectators watching from outside the field felt their scalps go numb.

With her vision blocked by the dense mist and that large-scale Lava Release flooding the field, Tsunade's situation looked incredibly dangerous.

Then suddenly—

A figure burst upward through the mist.

Tsunade had leapt into the air.

Looking down at Mei from above, the corners of her lips curled into a fierce grin. Then she swung her leg down with terrifying force.

"Heavenly Foot of Pain!"

Her kick sliced downward like a battle axe, carrying enough force to tear through the air itself.

Mei's eyes narrowed.

She immediately stopped the Lava Release and flipped backward without hesitation.

Boom!

Tsunade's heel smashed into the ground, and the entire training field shook violently.

Cracks exploded outward from the point of impact, racing across the earth in every direction.

The spectators watching from the sidelines broke into cold sweat.

This wasn't sparring anymore.

This was a real fight.

Neither of them was holding back.

After landing, Tsunade straightened and locked eyes with Mei again.

Mei clicked her tongue inwardly.

She had no intention of letting Tsunade get close. Though she knew some taijutsu, there was no way she was going to exchange blows head-on with a monster like Tsunade.

Against someone with that kind of raw strength, close combat was suicide.

She needed to suppress her with ninjutsu and look for an opening to finish it in one shot.

With that in mind, Mei lifted her fingers to her lips once more.

"Boil Release: Skilled Mist Technique."

A huge cloud of scorching vapor burst from her mouth.

Formed from the fusion of fire and water chakra, the mist spread far wider than her earlier Lava Release. It rolled across the battlefield like a living wave, carrying heat so intense it seemed capable of melting anything that came near it—even human flesh.

Seeing that, Tsunade remained calm.

She immediately gathered chakra into her fist and slammed it into the ground.

With a thunderous roar, the earth split apart, and a massive wall of stone surged upward, blocking the advancing mist.

The moment the boiling vapor was stopped, Mei's instincts suddenly screamed at her.

Danger.

Without even thinking, she bent her upper body backward and flipped away.

Her reaction was just in time.

Tsunade had already come around the side and thrown a punch where Mei had been standing a moment earlier.

Even though Mei avoided the full blow, the wind pressure from that strike still grazed her face.

A sharp line of blood appeared across her cheek.

For a second, Mei froze.

Then her expression darkened.

She touched her cheek lightly, saw the blood on her fingertips... and her smile disappeared.

"You scratched my face."

There was no sweetness left in her voice now.

Only cold fury at her actions.

Tsunade cracked her knuckles.

"Then stop giving me openings."

Mei's eyes sharpened.

"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!"

A massive water dragon roared into existence and surged toward Tsunade with overwhelming force.

This was not some ordinary Water Release.

A technique cast by someone at Mei's level carried enough power to wash away entire sections of the battlefield. The sheer volume and pressure of it made the spectators instinctively step back.

Tsunade had no choice but to retreat.

And the moment she moved, Mei seized the opportunity.

Her body, which had remained in place, suddenly collapsed into a pool of water.

A water clone.

Tsunade's eyes narrowed.

Before she could fully locate the real Mei, the latter emerged from within the water dragon itself.

"Skilled Mist Technique!"

Scorching vapor erupted at point-blank range.

Tsunade twisted her body in midair with frightening control, barely avoiding the full force of it, but her right arm was still caught by the edge of the attack.

A harsh sizzling sound rang out.

A large portion of her skin instantly turned red and raw, with parts of the flesh beneath exposed where the heat had burned through.

Mei's eyes lit up. She had finally landed a solid hit.

But before that satisfaction could even settle—

Tsunade appeared right in front of her.

Mei's pupils shrank.

'So fast.'

Tsunade's fist slammed straight into her abdomen.

Boom!

Mei's body flew backward like she had been hit by a battering ram, crashing hard into the wall at the edge of the field. A thin trail of blood ran from the corner of her mouth as dust and broken stone scattered around her.

At that point, the spectators no longer had any mood left to enjoy the show.

Anyone could see it now.

These two were seriously trying to beat each other down.

If this kept going, one of them was absolutely going to end up badly injured before it stopped.

And just then—

Namikaze Kirito made his move.

His eyes shifted, turning into golden Rinnegan.

Two dark spatial distortions suddenly opened in the middle of the field.

Before Tsunade and Mei could even react, both women were swallowed by the warped space and vanished from sight.
