Two warm currents surged into my body in succession:

[Stamina cap increased to 400]

[Maximum duration of time stop increased to 0.4 seconds]

Bai Mo quietly pulled out his Glock and moved close to the wall: "If you can't beat them, run..." He suddenly flashed out and pulled the trigger, aiming at the werewolf's forehead—

"Bang!"

The bullet struck the billboard behind the werewolf.

"Roar—" The werewolf turned around angrily, its claws leaving deep marks on the ground.

"Damn it! I forgot I have no real combat experience!" Seeing the werewolf pounce on him, Bai Mo immediately activated [Time Stop].

In that 0.4-second moment of stillness, he retreated to create distance while gritting his teeth and firing.

Time resumes its flow.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Two shots rang out simultaneously, and the third shot rang out after the time stop ended.

The recoil made his entire right arm go numb. The first shot hit the werewolf in the abdomen, the second missed, but the third shot pierced the werewolf's forehead with pinpoint accuracy.

With a "thud," the werewolf collapsed to the ground.

Bai Mo stood frozen in place, staring in disbelief at the smoking gun barrel: "That's it? Are wolf-level monsters this fragile? I thought bullets wouldn't be able to penetrate them..."

[Battle Results]

[Killed: Wolf-level monster]

[Points earned: 20]

[Current Points: 115]

[Beginner's Tip: Wolf-level monsters generally have weak defenses]

Bai Mo shook his numb arm and looked around to find a high school girl in a sailor uniform slumped against the wall. He quickly went over and helped her up: "Are you alright? It's dangerous here, let's get out of here."

As the girl looked up, the setting sun shone brightly on Bai Mo's profile. She paused, her cheeks flushing slightly, and whispered, "Th-thank you..." Her fingers unconsciously rubbed the wrist that had just been held.

As Bai Mo turned to leave, the girl suddenly mustered her courage: "Um... wait a minute!" She took her phone out of her bag, "Could, could I add you on WeChat?"

Bai Mo then realized that he didn't even have a cell phone after transmigrating, and could only scratch his head awkwardly: "Sorry, I... don't have a cell phone yet."

The girl's face flushed instantly: "Ah! I'm sorry!" She grabbed her schoolbag and ran away.

After watching the girl run away, Bai Mo looked down at the only set of clothes he was wearing—he had been wearing them all day, and the cuffs were still stained with the strange man's blood.

"I need to buy a few changes of clothes quickly..." Following Saitama's directions, he arrived at a commercial district, but there were not many shops open. Suddenly, Bai Mo saw a familiar faded signboard, and several sample sets were displayed in the shop window.

Pushing open the wooden door, Bai Mo was somewhat embarrassed to find that this place mainly served as a shop for custom-made formal wear and alterations, and there were no readily available affordable clothes.

"Um... do you have any T-shirts for sale?" Bai Mo asked the old tailor behind the counter.

The old tailor said, "Young man, we only accept custom orders and alterations. However..." He pointed to the secondhand clothes rack in the corner, "Some old clothes left by customers are 500 cherry blossom coins each."

Bai Mo was secretly pleased: "This price is really a bargain!" He quickly picked out a pair of gray athletic shorts and two plain T-shirts, spending a total of only 1,500 Sakura Coins.

Bai Mo hesitated before speaking, "Um... actually, I'm a hero, and I wanted to have a combat suit custom-made. I heard you're very skilled, so..."

The boss's eyes lit up at the praise: "A hero! Come, come, take a look at this design!" He excitedly handed over a sketch.

Bai Mo took the picture and his face immediately froze—the picture depicted a leather vest covered in rivets, with exaggerated metal shoulder armor.

"Ahem...very unique..." Bai Mo chuckled dryly as he closed the blueprints.

The shop owner patted him on the shoulder readily: "Don't worry about the money! The prices are very fair, and you can always pay me back if necessary."

"How about..." Bai Mo wiped his sweat, "you design a simple, practical outfit based on my body shape?"

"No problem!" The boss stood up excitedly, completely oblivious to his wig being askew. "Leave it to me!"

Bai Mo tried hard to avoid glancing at the top of his boss's head, and bowed deeply: "Thank you so much!"

As the shopkeeper tidied up the measuring tape, he said worriedly, "Young man, there's been a lot of strange behavior around here lately. Many shops have closed early. You'd better be careful, hero."

"I understand." Bai Mo nodded earnestly, but inwardly he thought, "Strange, don't the boss and Saitama know each other yet?" Then he realized, "That's true, Saitama only started his hero activities today. But judging from the boss's personality, they should become acquainted quickly."

After the shop owner finished taking his measurements, Bai Mo carried a plastic bag containing two sets of cheap T-shirts and athletic shorts back to his run-down rented room.

As soon as he entered, he casually tossed the shopping bags onto the tatami mat and rushed into the small bathroom. Hot water washed away the bloodstains and dust from his body, and he also washed the clothes he had worn all day.

After taking a shower, he stood shirtless on the balcony and hung up his wet clothes one by one.

Bai Mo lay on his back on the thin floor mat, staring blankly at the ceiling for a while, then suddenly said as if remembering something, "System, open the points mall."

A semi-transparent light screen unfolded before his eyes, and Bai Mo idly browsed the product list:

[Weighted wristband - 5 points]

[Weighted ankle rings - 5 points]

[Youth Training Manual - 5 points]

"Check the stamina potion," he said with a yawn.

[Stamina Max Potion 2]

[Price: 100 points (2/2)]

[Effect: Increases maximum stamina by 100 points]

Bai Mo sat bolt upright: "Wait! Wasn't it 50 points a bottle before? Why did the price suddenly go up?!"

[Current Points: 115]

Bai Mo sighed, "Forget it, let's buy the weight-bearing equipment first."

[Purchase Confirmed]

[Weighted wristband - 5 points]

[Weighted ankle bracelets - 5 points]

[Remaining points: 105]

A pair of black metal rings suddenly appeared in his hand, heavy and substantial.

"Wow..." Bai Mo curiously turned it over to examine it and found that there were tiny adjustment markings engraved on the inside. He put on the bracelet and ankle bracelet and gently rotated the adjustment knob according to the instructions.

[Current Weight Settings]

[Hands: 5kg/each]

[Legs: 10kg/each]

[Recommendation: Beginners should start with 50% load to get used to the load]

Bai Mo stretched his limbs: "This weight is just right; it's not too strenuous, yet it still provides a good workout."

After using the restroom, Bai Mo dragged his tired body onto the bed and quickly fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning, his biological clock struck promptly at 5:30. He rubbed his sleepy eyes, got up, quickly washed up, put on his weighted gear, and began his repetitive daily routine:

He arrived at the supermarket at 6:00 sharp, changed into his work clothes, and stood in front of the checkout counter. After four hours of repetitive work, he took off his apron.

After leaving the supermarket, he took his usual stroll in the park. Saitama was doing push-ups. Bai Mo: "Good morning, training so hard again today?"

"Ah, it's you." Saitama looked up, then continued doing push-ups. "Because I want to be a hero."

After saying goodbye to Saitama, Bai Mo began patrolling the secluded streets of Z City. He walked slowly, wearing heavy equipment.

While patrolling, Bai Mo said to the system, "Hey, alert me immediately if you spot any strange people."
