Ranpo was sitted in his living room, his head was faced down while he sat on his couch. The room around him was quiet, he took a deep breath out and said to himself "It's kind of quiet here. Not only did we fight a war where many Kagahara solidiers died, I also just found out about Yuji's depression about his grandfather's death. The kid's most definitely depressed, hearing my student is in that kind of state makes me sad myself.", he looked to his left, his sliding door was partially closed by the curtains "Outside's probably calm. I should use that to cool my head.". Ranpo stood up from his couch, walked all the way to his sliding door, opened it and just stared at the environment. He observed the environment around his house was calm and quiet, he blinked with a doll expression on his face before sitting right infront of the door. Ranpo started to remember the battle he and Kojin had against Ukina, his brief flashback ended. Ranpo sighed with depression "Who could have thought Olivia of all people would have ended up like this?", he asked himself "Kojin and I walked for miles looking for her body. Now, we just realised she's alive, but on the enemy's side.", Kojin resting on a tree with his hands folded interrupted Ranpo's thoughts "How long are you going to stay sad?", he asked. Ranpo's eyes glanced forward, his hand on his chin "Hey, Kojin. When did you get there?", Kojin clicked his tounge with irritation "You didn't even notice when I dropped in? You're losing your edge, Ranpo. What if someone came to rob you? Is that how you'd just get killed off guard?", Ranpo sighed "Now's not the time buddy. I'm tired right now.". Kojin walked forward "There's no point in being sad on what's already happened. If you continue like this, you'll get killed.", Ranpo looked at his friend who was standing to his left with just a glance "You're awfully lenient with me today.", Kojin added "Have you heard? Ralfold's dead.". Ranpo kept quiet before facing down "Yeah, I know. I actually almost forgot he was dead, you just reminded me.". Kojin sighed "He and I were from the same clan, we're Takahama. He grew up in Kagahara, which means he was a bit softer than the average Takahama should. I on the other hand grew up in the clan till I was age seven before being adopted into the dojo. That was when I met you and Fugaku.", Ranpo scoffed "At that point, you were already an arrogant prick who thought everyone around you were weaklings with the exception of me, you and Lord Fugaku. It wasn't until later that we left for Kagahara just to catch up with Fugaku.". Kojin explained "The point is, Ralfold and I recognised each other as fellow clan members. We didn't talk much, but we had respect for each other. Even tho he was younger by two years, it was obvious that he was worth it. Now, he's dead.", Kojin's fist balled up, destructive energy sparking around it for a few seconds. Ranpo noticed this and faced forward "He was someone who always understood what to do and got it done right. I'm sad he's gone.", both Ranpo and Kojin kept quiet before Ranpo asked "Hey, Kojin. How long do you think we'd live?", Kojin scoffed "Hell if I know.". Later that day, at 3:00PM In the afternoon, everyone in the city, both solidiers and civilians were gathered in a graveyard. Fugaku was standing on a podium "Today, we come together to honour the deaths of our solidiers who had died in the invasion against the Knight Country. Each and everyone of them risked their lives for Kagahara and fought to the bitter end. Some of these solidiers were our dear, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, trusting partners, teachers and even lovers. Today, we give them a proper send off.". People were looking at the remains of their allies resting in their caskets, some were crying, some were trying not to break down, some were depressed just by looking at their dead allies cold bodies in the caskets. Mothers, sisters and female lovers were crying and breaking down just by seeing the corpes of their elder brothers, sons and lovers. Regina, Suzuha and Volt looked at Ralfold's body laying in the casket, Regina and Volt crying, Suzuha feeling horribly depressed. Fugaku then declared "We may now close the caskets and burry our fallen comrades.", most of the soliders that consisted of males did their salutes, each and everyone of them holding down their tears due to their comrades being buried. Women were crying just by seeing their sons, lovers and brothers getting buried, teens, kids and young men were in grief seeing their mothers, wives and sisters getting buried. Fugaku took one last glance at Ralfold's casket slowly closing up and being buried "Ralfold Takahama, you were one of my most trusted allies ever since you were just a kid of C-rank. May your soul rest in perfect peace.". Yuji was in another graveyard entirely looking at his grandfather's grave, his eyes filled with bags below them "Grandfather Nagumo was buried yesterday, the only one's available for his burial were just me, Lord Fugaku and a few people who claimed that my old man saved them back in their solidier days. Hey, Kazuma. Do you think we'd die like this too, one day?", Kazuma was standing a few feet behind Yuji while wearing just a plain white shirt that was blowing with the breeze, as well as a black joggers, hands in his pockets "I don't know. And to be honest, I don't actually want to know.". The wind blew more softly, brushing over Kazuma and Yuji "I don't know how it's like to lose a person you love, so I can't tell how you're feeling.", Kazuma said. Yuji explained "Grandfather gave me the most grueling combat training I've ever had in my life. Just when I was a kid of four, grandpa would make me cut through his beams of energy as fast as I could. I'd usually end up with burn palms every day. At times, he'd make me charge at him with daggers in my hands, telling me...", Yuji remembered his grandfather's words as his eyes glowed blue with violent intent "If you're not prepared to kill me, then there's no point of holding a weapon.". Yuji explained after that brief flashback "He'd make me fight against wild animals on my level, I'd usually kill them after getting injured. Although he did make my childhood fun when he wanted too. After I became a C-rank, he wasn't as strict. I was releaved that he had losend up on me, but I still found it hard to fully relate with him.". Kazuma after listening replied "Sounds like you had it terrible. But was it worth it?", he asked, Yuji replied "Every second of it.", and started crying. Kazuma felt bad for his friend, his eyes looked down "Guess you really did love him after all.".
