Iron Man tackled the Abomination around the waist, his thrusters roaring as he flew straight out of the collapsing structure. The Abomination was caught off guard for a fraction of a second, unable to find a solid foothold as Tony propelled them both high into the sky.
"This is Stark's private penthouse airspace," Tony quipped from within the heavily reinforced armor. "You are seriously heavy, big guy."
The Abomination roared furiously and immediately began to struggle against the hold. He grabbed Iron Man's metallic arm with one massive hand and began to violently twist it.
"Tony Stark, go to hell!"
With a sickening screech of rending metal, the mechanical arm was completely torn off.
The Abomination expected to see a gruesome spurt of blood, but as he aggressively tore the sturdy armor into pieces, he realized the incredibly fragile shell contained absolutely nothing.
It was completely empty inside; Tony Stark was not actually in the suit.
The Abomination fell into a rapid free fall, momentarily dazed by the deception. Suddenly, three miniature missiles shot out from the distance, screaming through the air to strike him directly in the chest.
A thunderous explosion echoed as the monster plummeted into the street like a flaming meteor, slamming into the concrete with the deafening roar of muffled thunder. A moment later, the Abomination emerged completely unscathed from the smoldering crater.
"Don't be afraid, citizens, because Iron Man will protect the safety of New York City."
Another suit of steel armor hovered in the distance, utilizing a built-in loudspeaker to broadcast his immense arrogance to the entire world.
Tony Stark was far from stupid, so he absolutely refused to engage the massive behemoth in direct, hand-to-hand combat.
He had specifically sent out an older Mark armor via remote control to serve as a decoy.
Now safely concealed, he hovered patiently, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
"Tony Stark, I am going to tear you to pieces!" The Abomination pounded his massive fists aggressively against the shattered pavement and roared furiously up at the sky.
He was immediately greeted by Iron Man's shoulder-mounted machine guns, which aggressively spat out bright streams of lethal flames.
Tony continued to taunt the beast over the loudspeaker to draw the Abomination's full attention while simultaneously blasting the creature's head with concentrated repulsor pulses from his palms.
At the exact same time, specialized armor-piercing bullets were continuously fired from both gauntlets, forcing the Abomination to stumble backward again and again under the sheer, overwhelming kinetic energy.
Amidst the thick clouds of smoke and dust, the Abomination let out a violent, guttural roar and vigorously dug his feet into the asphalt, charging directly into the relentless metal storm. Utilizing a terrifying, explosive leap, he launched himself high into the air and aimed a devastating punch straight at Iron Man.
"Not quite close enough!"
Iron Man flexibly flashed to one side to dodge the heavy blow, but he was still violently tossed through several mid-air somersaults by the sheer concussive wave of displaced air.
Tony quickly stabilized his flight stabilizers and kept moving erratically through the sky without a single second of pause.
His fierce repulsor beam cannons fired rhythmically, delivering concentrated, burning energy blasts that forced the Abomination to roar in pure frustration.
Because of the monster's incredibly thick, impenetrable skin, neither combatant could secure a definitive advantage.
Tony relentlessly kept up his ranged aerial assault while desperately evading those massive, grasping hands again and again, settling into a tense, chaotic stalemate.
But this prolonged battle of attrition was extremely detrimental to Tony's limited power reserves. It didn't take long for the Abomination to ruthlessly seize an opening, violently wrapping his massive arms around the Iron Man suit as it flew just a little too close to his back.
"Oops."
Tony's heart tightened in genuine panic as he fully engaged his boot thrusters to maximum output, yet he simply couldn't escape the monster's crushing grip.
"Heh-heh," the Abomination chuckled with a sadistic, hideous grin, revealing rows of terrifyingly sharp teeth.
His incredibly thick hands firmly grasped the steel armor and violently slammed it straight down into the unforgiving street, instantly spreading massive, cobweb-like cracks across the asphalt.
The monster then ruthlessly dragged the suit back up into the air and viciously slammed it down onto the opposite side of the road.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Iron Man was treated exactly like a helpless lamb waiting to be slaughtered, firmly locked within the Abomination's massive palm as the beast continually smashed deep, jagged holes into the city pavement.
"Let him go, Mr. Stark!"
A surprisingly youthful, energetic voice suddenly echoed through the chaotic street.
Immediately after, a thick spray of white webbing splattered directly onto the Abomination's face, completely blinding his line of sight and forcing his crushing grip to slightly loosen.
With brilliant fire frantically spitting from his boot thrusters, Tony ruthlessly seized the split-second opportunity to engage maximum horsepower, successfully escaping from the Abomination's deadly hands and rushing back into the safety of the open sky.
At this point in the brutal fight, the golden-red steel armor was dangerously cracked everywhere, with the internal diagnostic systems reporting an overall damage rating as high as sixty percent. Tony was in agonizing pain all over his bruised body, feeling as if he had absolutely no physical strength left, and slowly descended onto the safety of a high rooftop platform.
"Mr. Stark, are you completely okay?"
Spider-Man, Peter Parker, smoothly arrived beside him by swinging in on a thick strand of spider-silk, his masked expression visibly shifting between deep nervousness and sheer excitement.
He was incredibly nervous because he had never personally witnessed such a massive, utterly destructive battle before in his life.
At the same time, he was highly excited because he was finally getting to officially meet the globally famous superhero, Iron Man.
For a high school vigilante from Queens, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with a legend served as the ultimate, undeniable affirmation of his own emerging superhero identity.
"Good boy, but you need to get the hell out of here right now."
Tony offered a brief, breathless compliment first before strictly ordering Peter to immediately evacuate this highly dangerous combat zone.
J.A.R.V.I.S. had already logged Spider-Man's vigilante data into the Stark Industries database, so Tony knew perfectly well that a street-level kid couldn't possibly survive a direct fistfight with the Abomination.
"No way, I am a superhero too, and I absolutely must stand on the front lines to help," Peter firmly refused.
The very moment those stubborn words left his mouth, a sharp stream of white webbing violently shot out from the wrist of the deeply confident teenager.
"This kid is just so incredibly arrogant," Tony muttered under his breath.
Seeing the young vigilante fearlessly swing back into the fray, Tony frustratedly punched the concrete slate and quickly ordered his AI, "J.A.R.V.I.S., deploy the prototype suit we were working on last night."
"Sir, the Mark VII armor is currently still in a heavily semi-finished, uncalibrated state, and its immediate deployment is highly not recommended."
"Stop talking nonsense and activate the deployment protocols right this second," Tony snapped.
Witnessing the overwhelming, futuristic firepower of Genoko had forcefully opened Tony's brilliant, competitive mind.
Countless revolutionary engineering ideas had rapidly flooded his brain well in advance of his original development schedule.
Just a few days ago, his primary combat suit had only been the Mark III, but driven by sheer technological rivalry, he had aggressively fast-tracked his designs directly to the Mark VII.
When the Hulk, who had been violently thrown upside down onto the opposite side of the street, furiously crawled out of the shattered ruins to settle his bloody score with the Abomination, four distinct figures wearing matching uniforms suddenly stood directly in his path.
The millions of terrified citizens watching the live broadcast in front of their televisions instantly began to erupt into hopeful, deafening cheers.
The highly anticipated arrival of the Fantastic Four and the beloved local vigilante, Spider-Man, felt significantly more grounded and deeply popular among ordinary civilians than the arrogant, billionaire presence of Iron Man.
"Please stop this rampage immediately, Dr. Banner," Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic, pleaded reasonably.
"You need to change back into your human form quickly, otherwise all of Manhattan is going to be permanently reduced to smoking rubble."
The very first person to step up and try to negotiate was no longer the historically arrogant, impulsive Human Torch, Johnny Storm, but the inherently calm and deeply rational Mr. Fantastic, Reed Richards.
"ROAR!!"
The Hulk bellowed furiously in response.
As his fragile human sanity gradually disappeared into a sea of absolute, blinding rage, he became entirely determined to violently destroy absolutely any opponent foolish enough to stand directly in front of him.
"It seems completely impossible to logically communicate with him in this state, so we are going to have to force him down, Johnny."
After Mr. Fantastic issued the grim tactical order, Johnny Storm immediately jumped into lethal action without a single word of sarcastic complaint.
It seemed that his previous, humiliatingly severe defeat at the hands of Light Inksworth had actually forced the hotheaded teenager to finally mature into a proper soldier.
Without a second of hesitation, the Human Torch aggressively raised both of his hands and completely engulfed the raging Hulk in a massively expansive, violently burning sea of superheated fire.
The extremely high, practically solar temperature instantly distorted the surrounding oxygen and aggressively burned outward in all possible directions.
An endless, suffocating heat wave violently swept straight across the New York skyline, causing the nearby glass skyscrapers to physically sway and shudder from the sheer thermal pressure of the blazing sea of fire.
The abandoned civilian cars left stranded on the street were rapidly detonated one after another by the ambient heat, instantly igniting and entirely disintegrating into ash exactly like dry paper.
Johnny didn't dare to get distracted by the surrounding collateral damage, nervously focusing his absolute, undivided attention on the roaring green behemoth standing directly in front of him.
His older sister, the Invisible Woman, Susan Storm, immediately took supportive action at this critical moment, rapidly projecting a massive, circular transparent force field to safely envelop and contain the expanding flames.
The extremely lethal, localized high temperature of thousands of degrees crackled violently inside the airtight dome, intentionally gathered and aggressively focused directly into the center where the Hulk was trapped.
"HULK SMASH!!"
A throat-tearing, apocalyptic roar echoing from a truly violent, unstoppable beast violently erupted from the deepest, hottest core of the flames.
A terrifyingly violent gale of wind suddenly burst outward from the monster's clapping hands, violently sweeping across the entire battlefield as the displaced airflow began to spin exactly like a rampaging, wild beast.
The overwhelmingly destructive wave of fire was instantly blown backward by the concussive wind pressure and immediately began to violently shake.
The deafening, crackling sound of the burning flames completely disappeared, and the massive green monster aggressively emerged from the dying embers.
The creature's hideously enraged face and completely unharmed, muscular body made the surrounding heroes feel as if they had just been unceremoniously dropped into a freezing ice cave.
Every single hair on their bodies stood entirely on end in sheer, unadulterated horror.
Johnny's previously confident face instantly turned a stark, sickly pale shade with sheer, terrified amazement.
Such a display of effortless, overwhelming biological invulnerability instantly reminded him of the incredibly humiliating moment he had been effortlessly crushed by the mysterious, terrifying man who called himself Aizen Sōsuke.
"How is this even remotely possible?" he whispered in utter disbelief.
Upon witnessing this terrifying lack of damage, Mr. Fantastic murmured anxiously to himself, "This is getting a bit bad."
"I am going to hold the line and actively resist his advance; you guys urgently need to think of a strategic way to put him down!"
The Thing, Ben Grimm, aggressively rushed forward to meet the beast head-on, his heavy, rocky footsteps causing the very surface of the street to rumble loudly.
Although his overall physical mass was slightly smaller and structurally different from the Hulk's absurd body size, Ben's incredibly dense, rock-like outer shell absolutely granted him the raw, necessary power to engage in a direct, bruising fistfight.
However, before the remaining members of the Fantastic Four could properly coordinate and organize a highly effective tactical attack, the Abomination violently rushed over from a short distance away, his massive body completely and frustratingly entwined in thick layers of sticky spider-silk.
Spider-Man had been desperately anchoring his webs and physically pulling back with all his might to restrain the beast, but their respective power levels were completely unequal, resulting in Peter being ruthlessly dragged all the way across the jagged ground like a ragdoll.
