Can I earn points by living off my clones?
Hearing An Xora's question, the system took noticeably longer to respond this time. Clearly, the so-called basic AI was running some intense analysis.
Fortunately, a moment later, the system's affirmative answer sounded in his ear.
"Analyzing… If the clone does not possess self-awareness and is either directly controlled by the Host or managed by the system, points cannot be obtained. If the clone possesses self-awareness, and the Host engages in freeloading behavior toward the clone, points can be obtained."
"Nice!"
Receiving the system's confirmation, An Xora instantly felt refreshed and uplifted.
After all, clones were absolutely loyal to him. He could hug them, cuddle them, live off them however he liked. If he could freeload off his own clones, why would he ever bother going out of his way to find women to freeload off?
Of course—this applied only to beautiful female clones. Not that An Xora would ever manifest an unattractive clone as a freeloading target anyway.
With all prerequisites clarified, An Xora immediately went to the discount section of the shop and purchased the two items he had his eye on earlier: Quantumization and the Authority of the Herrscher of Life and Death. Then, without hesitation, he opened the clone interface.
"System, manifest a clone."
Holding those two abilities in hand, An Xora had already decided who he wanted to manifest.
Seele.
Of course, not Seele from Honkai: Star Rail, and definitely not the "five-hundred-thousand-marks" Seele. He meant the Seele from Honkai Impact 3rd—the girl from Cocolia's orphanage, born with a natural Stigmata and possessing a dual personality.
Seele Vollerei.
As the system's manifestation light flared, a petite figure slowly appeared before An Xora.
She had smooth short hair dyed blue at the tips, styled into an adorable bob. She wore a blue-and-white dress, her slender, snow-white legs wrapped in dark blue thigh-high stockings. Her fair skin carried a faint blush, a red Stigmata rested on her chest, and her deep blue eyes surveyed her surroundings with confusion and unease—until they landed on An Xora, at which point she revealed a sweet, gentle smile.
"Big Brother An Xora."
Hearing the girl's soft call, An Xora took a deep breath and instantly felt an indescribable sense of comfort wash over his entire body.
Clones manifested by the system inherited the corresponding character's personality and memories. They were practically no different from the original characters—except that they also possessed An Xora's memories, knew the plot, and could resonate with him mentally under any circumstances.
Coupled with absolute loyalty and a zero percent chance of betrayal, they were, quite literally, perfect existences that could only appear in dreams.
Under such conditions, how could An Xora—who in his previous life had never even had a girlfriend, and had jumped straight into the grind of being a corporate workhorse after graduation—not be excited?
However, there was still one final step left.
He needed to bestow the abilities he had purchased from the shop onto Seele. Only then would the girl before him truly have the power to let him enjoy some warm, freshly served "freeloading."
"Seele, next I'm going to grant you some abilities. And another Seele as well. No matter what happens, don't be afraid."
Hearing An Xora's words, Seele obediently nodded.
"Mhm. Seele will try not to be afraid. And the other me… she says only children would be scared of something this trivial."
"…Honestly, I think so too. Alright then, Seele—I'm starting."
Through the system interface, An Xora granted Quantumization to Seele. As for the Authority of the Herrscher of Life and Death, he split it into two aspects: Creation and Withering.
The power of Creation was bestowed upon Seele, while the power of Withering was given to Dark Seele—Seele's Stigmata consciousness, her second personality.
Naturally, since the two Seeles were originally one entity, both could freely use both powers unless they were separated into two independent individuals.
"All done, Seele. How do you feel? Anything special?"
After closing the system interface, An Xora asked.
"Mm… it feels like there's a very powerful force inside my body now."
The Authority of the Herrscher of Life and Death wasn't merely a skill. In the Honkai world, becoming a Herrscher meant gaining an enormous amount of Honkai energy.
And the system's shop items had all been modified to adapt to different worlds and power systems.
Thus, in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, Seele—having obtained the Herrscher's Authority—likewise gained an astonishing amount of cursed energy. Centered on her Stigmata, massive quantities of cursed energy continuously poured into her body.
It was easy to imagine that as time passed, the total amount of cursed energy within Seele would only become more and more terrifying.
"Good. The power from my memories… has returned."
As the cursed energy kept flowing in, another figure appeared beside Seele.
She looked exactly the same, but her clothing and hair colors were completely opposite—dominated by black and crimson. Her expression and aura were also utterly different.
If Seele gave off a gentle, soft, approachable feeling that made people instinctively like her, then the other Seele—Dark Seele—radiated cold dominance, inspiring instinctive fear and distance.
Coupled with the way she floated weightlessly in midair like a ghost, and the terrifying black-and-red cursed energy swirling around her body, an uninformed person might faint on the spot just from seeing her.
Naturally, Dark Seele hadn't appeared without reason.
With a casual wave of her hand, black-red cursed energy surged outward, and a piercing wail echoed through the room.
In the corner, a towering figure invisible to ordinary humans was instantly shredded and annihilated by the cursed energy. Only a small portion of its body remained, writhing weakly on the floor—intentionally left behind by Dark Seele.
Meanwhile, Seele stepped lightly forward, placing a hand on An Xora's body. A stream of cursed energy imbued with the power of Creation slowly flowed into him, causing his vision to shift and distort—allowing him to clearly see the grotesque remnant struggling in the corner.
"This… should be a cursed spirit from this world."
Cursed spirits—entities invisible to normal people and only seen by jujutsu sorcerers. An Xora had been an ordinary person before; only with Seele's help could he perceive it.
"It was probably nearby and got attracted by the gathering cursed energy. Not sure what grade it was, but it was most likely pretty weak."
Floating in midair, Dark Seele clicked her tongue in disgust.
"Seriously disgusting. Since we've already seen it, I'll just make it disappear."
With that, black-red cursed energy engulfed the remains in the corner. Moments later, they vanished without a trace.
"Big Brother An Xora is just an ordinary person right now. Not being able to see cursed spirits is too dangerous."
"But it's okay. Seele… will help Big Brother An Xora."
While Dark Seele finished off the cursed spirit, Seele beside An Xora hadn't been idle either.
The cursed energy infused with Creation didn't dissipate after entering An Xora's body. Under Seele's control, it used the power of Creation to thoroughly merge with and reshape his body.
An Xora could feel himself growing stronger, while a special kind of energy gradually became perceptible to him.
Cursed energy.
With Seele's help, An Xora successfully sensed and obtained cursed energy—and the amount… was far from small.
