Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 The Real Grassland

Ender, after leaving the Family's encampment, flew while studying his communicator.

After familiarizing himself with the communicator's functions, he opened the map.

This was a map of the grassland managed by Morning Light City, with the pasture ranges of various tribes on the outer grassland marked.

To know the strength of a tribe, one only needed to look at the size of its pasture on the map.

Powerful tribes occupied vast pastures, and their pastures were close to the inner grassland where Demon Beasts were abundant, serving as the first line of defense against Demon Beast invasions.

Compared to the large tribes on the first line of defense against Demon Beast invasions, small tribes on the outer grassland faced very little Demon Beast threat, and their pastures were much smaller.

The pastures of some tribes even needed to be specially marked with lines, otherwise their range could not be shown.

Ender carefully observed the tribes marked on the map, thinking, "There are quite a few tribes on the way from the Family towards Morning Light City.

"But from a distance perspective, only nine tribes are suitable for seeking refuge at the Family's encampment, and another four tribes are closer to other shelters."

Shelters were formed due to beast tides, and beast tides were periods of Demon Beast rampage.

During this rampage period, Planetary Level Demon Beasts, which usually operated in the inner grassland, would lead Apprentice-level Demon Beast groups to the outer grassland.

Sometimes, even a small number of Stellar Rank Demon Beasts would participate!

Before the beast tide arrived, powerful tribes would gather their dispersed clansmen and consolidate their defenses at their station to reduce losses.

Due to the large tribes on the first line of defense against Demon Beasts consolidating their forces, Demon Beasts that previously found it difficult to enter the outer grassland could easily do so during this period.

However, the tribes grazing in the outer grassland were weak and simply unable to resist the numerous Demon Beasts, thus they had no choice but to temporarily relocate to larger tribes for protection.

Over time, shelters were formed this way.

"First, I'll notify the nine tribes suitable for seeking refuge at the Family's encampment, to see if they choose to migrate individually or act as a group.

"After that, I'll contact the other Scouts to see if they have notified the other four tribes."

Without much thought, Ender finalized his plan.

After flying for about ten minutes, he reached the first tribe's pasture.

Controlling the bone shield to stop in mid-air, Ender looked at the map and roughly estimated the distance.

"The speed at which I control the bone shield to fly at full speed should be five to six hundred meters per second. I wasn't flying at full speed just now, but the speed was still three to four hundred meters per second.

"Based on ten minutes of flying time, the distance between here and the Family's pasture is about two hundred kilometers.

"Two hundred kilometers. With the migration speed of those weak tribes, I wonder if they can reach the Family's pasture within a day."

Ender carefully observed from the air for a long time and finally discovered traces of the owner of this pasture.

There was a black dot on the distant grassland, with wisps of green smoke floating above it.

"Over there."

He murmured softly, controlling the bone shield to fly towards the direction where the green smoke was rising.

As he got closer, Ender felt somewhat incredulous; the population of this weak tribe was surprisingly large!

He roughly counted about one hundred and twenty tents in the tribe. Calculating four people per tent, there were approximately five hundred people.

Five hundred people, yet not even a single Planetary Level!

However, the Royce Family, where he belonged, had less than one hundred people, but six Planetary Levels were permanently stationed there.

Remaining in the air, Ender, with his head bowed, fell silent.

The impact of this scene was far beyond what the beast tide two years ago could compare to.

During the beast tide two years ago, as an Apprentice-level Stage-Seven Spiritual Master, he saw people who were Apprentice-level Four or Five-stage but much older than him, participating in their first beast tide trial with him.

At that time, he already felt very shocked.

But now he truly understood that not every tribe was called the Royce Family.

This was a world of difference compared to his vague memory of a peaceful and stable previous life!

Seeing more and more people gathering below, Ender controlled the bone shield to descend slowly.

Below, many young adults held bows and arrows or spears, watching above vigilantly, with some arrows already nocked.

The elderly, women, and children had already hidden inside the tents, and through the gaps in some tents, pairs of eyes could be seen peeking out.

As Ender slowly descended, they saw that the newcomer was not a Demon Beast, but a Human Race.

Those vigilant young adults breathed a sigh of relief, lowering their bows and arrows and spears, and some called the elderly, women, and children out from the tents.

Landing in an open space, Ender surveyed the crowd and found that most of them were at Apprentice-level Five or Six, and only those with noticeably better weapons and equipment were at Apprentice-level Seven or Eight.

Apprentice Level 9 were pitifully few, only a mere two people!

After probing with his Spiritual Force, Ender sighed inwardly, "Five hundred people, and only two Apprentice Level 9. This tribe's strength is too weak, no wonder it was rated as a weak tribe."

Ender was observing others, and others were also observing him.

They were very curious about this person who dared to come to another tribe alone.

But when these people saw Ender's age and appearance, they all showed shocked expressions.

Because he was young!

He was truly too young!

In their tribe, someone of Ender's age was not yet qualified to participate in the initial beast tide trial.

However, his daring to come to their tribe alone clearly showed great confidence in his own strength, suggesting that ordinary Apprentice-level Demon Beasts were likely no match for him.

"I am the Clan Chief of this tribe, may I ask who Your Excellency is?"

Soon, a tall, strong middle-aged man, who was an Apprentice Level 9, came before Ender.

"Ender Royce, ranked Eleven in the Royce Family, currently serving as a Scout."

Saying this, Ender revealed the communicator on his wrist.

The tall, strong man's face showed shock, "Scout? Could it be..."

He couldn't believe it; how long had it been since the last beast tide, and a new beast tide was already here!

"This is an email issued by Morning Light City."

Ender opened the projection, projecting the email with Morning Light City's seal in front of the tall, strong man.

This tall, strong man understood the Universe's common written language. After quickly reading the email, he had no choice but to believe that a new beast tide was imminent.

Seeing that the tall, strong man had finished reading the email, Ender put away his communicator, "Please arrange for your clansmen to migrate to my Royce Family's shelter as soon as possible. Due to the urgency of time, I will leave first, as there are other tribes who do not know about the beast tide."

After speaking, he controlled the bone shield to ascend and hurried towards the next tribe.

After Ender left, a young man who was an Apprentice-level Eight-stage came beside the tall, strong man, "Clan Chief, he is a Scout, could he be a Planetary Level powerhouse?"

"No." The tall, strong man shook his head, looking at Ender's departing figure with a complex expression.

Withdrawing his gaze, he said bitterly, "He is an Apprentice Level 9 Spiritual Master. In terms of strength, he is stronger than me!"

"So young? And stronger than you, Clan Chief! He truly lives up to being a member of the Royce Family."

Looking at Ender, who was disappearing into the sky, the young man was very admiring, but more than admiration, there was envy.

...

After leaving the first tribe, Ender flew all the way, notifying one Family after another.

As night approached, he had visited all the tribes suitable for migrating to the Royce Family's shelter, and even three more distant tribes had been notified, with only one last tribe remaining.
