Alex was a normal high school student who loved to watch animes and manga but all that came to an end when he was struck by a lightning on a rainy day and died and now Alex is in front of a glowing being who keeps staring at him as he was a rare specimen.
"God, are you a god. What am I even rambling about?" Alex is also feeling uncomfortable being stared like that but he doesn't know what to talk about. 'Shit, why is he keep staring at me? Is it thinking about how should he eat me. Shit, I don't want to die again after dying. God or demon whoever you are please speak something' Alex was traumatized in his own imagination.
The glowing being blinked his eyes after seeing how uncomfortable Alex looked. "Sorry about that. I was just lost in my own thoughts. Let me introduce myself, I am the god of reincarnation of this universe. As you have guessed you have died after being struck by the lighting and you would had to go through the ladder of reincarnation like other souls but you are a special case. The lighting that struck you was the result of two powerful beings battle residual energy which somehow got passed the world barrier and struck you"
Alex was stunned after knowing he died because of residual energy of a battle. He didn't even know who to curse, his luck or those powerful being for fighting near his world.
"Sigh, cursing won't change anything. So, God of reincarnation what is going to happen to me"
"For your cases Alex. There are two choices. For first choice, you can reincarnate into your own world but you have to go through memory erasure. We will compensate you with a healthy body, rich family and long life. For your second choice, you can reincarnate to another world where you can increase your lifespan through cultivation and magic but it is full of dangers and struggles. We will also give you little perk to help you survive in that world. Now Alex, which one do you choose" The god of reincarnation said looking at Alex
Alex was in deep thought. He was an Otaku but he still feared for his life. He would have gone with first choice but an idea struck him and that idea took deep root in his mind. Alex calmed himself and looked into the eyes god of reincarnation.
"I want to go with second choice but can I choose my perks. I have an idea in my mind that I want to try" Alex said
God of reincarnation chuckled a little. He could read Alex thoughts and he knew what kind of idea he was thinking. 'This will be interesting to watch'
"If you want to go with second choice then. What kind of worled do you want to reincarnate? Magical world, science fiction world, cultivation world. There are different kinds of worled in my universe"
"I want to go with magical world where there are dragons and mages" Alex said
God of reincarnation moved his hand and a hollogram of a planet appeared. "This is the planet of PHENON, where people can cultivate magic and increase their lifespan through it. How is it do you like it.
"Yes, I like it" Alex said looking at the hollogram
"Now that you have decided which planet to reincarnate. Let's move to next step. What kind of perks do you want and also I can't give you some overpowered perks. The things you read in the novels are half true and half false. If I give you something like reality manipulation the world rules will be in disarray and the world will do everything in its power to kill you to fix itself. Now that I gave a basic description about what I can give you. Tell me what you want and you can only get three perks" God of reincarnation said in an authoritative tone
Alex did have an idea to get some overpowered powers but it looks like that won't happen. Alex took some time to think and finally decided.
"For my first perk, I want a system in the novels which helps me build my own powers like sect system, empire systems"

"For my second perk, I don't want to be reincarnated in a baby. I want my real body to get transferred in safe place"
"It will be little troublesome to match you with that world rules but I can manage that"
"For my third and last perk, I want peak talent"
God of reincarnation brought a laptop like thing and started doing something in that. After sometime he made that laptop thing disappear and again looked at Alex.
" I will transport you to a relatively safe and peaceful place so that you can develop your own power. I will give you an AI system which can answer some questions for you. Now then, Alex Smith, hope we meet again in the near future. Goodbye for now" God of reincarnation said
Alex translucent body began to disappear little by little and finally Alex body vanished from that white place.
