Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 This is Unscientific!

  "Maybe."

Finney Hellseg shrugged nonchalantly, silently shedding tears inside.

One hundred million gone just like that, so painful!

Although his heart was breaking, Finney still maintained a calm demeanor on the surface and continued chatting with Tony: "As for other suggestions, once you've finished making this, you can consider how to make it portable."

Regarding this, Tony didn't have Jarvis make a backup, and it was unclear whether he had already considered it himself.

"What happened to your previous armor?"

However, after making this suggestion, Tony asked him instead: "Will you sell the technology? You can name your price."

"Can you stop talking about money all the time?"

Finney was exhausted. It was really difficult to communicate with this kind of nouveau riche who always threw money at people. Unfortunately, 'Possessed by Evil Spirits' was related to the system, so he absolutely couldn't let Tony research it.

"Why not? Problems that can be solved with money aren't problems."

Tony said nonchalantly, and Finney had to admit that he was indeed quite cool.

"So, will you sell this Iron Man suit?"

Finney countered, leaving Tony speechless. He changed the subject, asking, "Alright, little Helsing, thank you for my generosity. I've decided not to pursue the matter of your trespassing."

"But you need to tell me, who are you, and why are you looking for me?"

Tony's expression was serious as he said this.

Finney pondered for a moment before honestly replying, "I'm a sorcerer. I've come to you to learn about some things that might be happening soon."

"Wait, are you talking about magic tricks?" Tony interrupted sarcastically, thinking Finney was lying again. "You might as well stick to the alien claim."

"Whether I believe you or not is another matter. And don't think you know everything, Mr. Tony Stark!"

Finney wasn't particularly angry. Without understanding this world, he wouldn't easily believe someone suddenly appearing to tell him these things.

Tony frowned and remained silent. If it weren't for Finney's previous unusual behavior, the conversation would have stalled long ago.

"Alright, tell me what you want to know about possible events?" Tony asked again, thinking himself magnanimous, still not believing Finney was telling the truth.

"Speaking it out loud might prevent it from happening."

Finney resolutely adhered to tradition and prepared to leave. But before leaving, he thought for a moment, picked up a piece of paper and pen from the nearby table, and wrote down a string of numbers.

"What is this? A code? A cipher? Or a harbinger of future disaster?"

Noticing Finney's actions, Tony speculated and mocked.

"This is my phone number!" Finney rolled his eyes, realizing how right he had been to avoid getting involved with Tony before; this kind of personality was so difficult to deal with in daily life.

"I think you should have a chance to use it. If you have any problems, you can call me over. Consider it a genuine apology for my rudeness."

"I don't think it's necessary," Tony replied dismissively, then added, "Also, if you want to come, I think you'd better use the main entrance, otherwise you'll bear the consequences."

"Anyway, sorry for bothering you today, goodbye! Portal!"

Finney didn't bother to say anything more, directly opened the portal home, stepped inside, and disappeared.

The empty studio was once again empty except for Tony. He let out a long sigh and immediately said,

"Jarvis, check my body. Also, is he gone?"

"Sir, apart from being overly fatigued, you are in perfect health. The room was checked and you are the only one there." Jarvis's answer gave Tony some reassurance.

Sitting back down in his chair, Tony immediately ordered, "Jarvis, pull up all the surveillance footage from earlier."      "I'm very sorry, sir, the video data has been completely deleted and cannot be recovered."

Tony then remembered the instructions Finney had given Jarvis, and immediately began to operate the computer to check Jarvis's program. However, after checking it over and over again, he found nothing unusual, not even a trace of intrusion.

  "Impossible!"

Tony's shock was even greater than before. He didn't understand portals and armor, but Jarvis was someone he had created. He couldn't understand why something he had created would obey someone else's commands.

Tony turned to look at the note Finney had left behind, hesitated for a moment, but still kept it. At the same time, he said to Jarvis, "Jarvis, establish the workshop modification project, with the initial goal of controlling the target's sudden appearance without causing damage."

Finney was unaware that Tony had already established the 'Anti-Finney Workshop,' and perhaps there would be an 'Anti-Finney Armor' once the suit was completed in the future.

He was currently muttering to himself in the room, worried: "It shouldn't have much of an impact, since nothing was said."

"Damn it, at worst, I'll just forgo the Iron Monger experience and have Tony make more suits to compensate."

Unexpected events always come unexpectedly. Today's meeting had disrupted all of Finney's plans. Now, even secretly taking the small arc reactor would be difficult, and Tony would immediately suspect him.

But giving up the Iron Monger entirely felt like a waste, so he left his phone number. If things continued as planned, Tony might contact him if he encountered danger; they'd see how it went.

If the Iron Monger didn't materialize, there was nothing he could do; it was just bad luck for his reckless actions.

With this perspective, Finney felt much better. From what he'd learned today, he also knew that the Mark II's development was very close.

So the waiting time wouldn't be long.

Time flies, and a week has passed in the blink of an eye. Finney had initially worried that meeting Tony would affect his life, but a week later, everything seemed calm and normal.

Just as he was feeling relieved, a phone call came in. Looking at the unknown number on his phone, Finney raised an eyebrow and answered.

Immediately after answering, the sound of whistling wind came from the other end of the line, making Finney pause for a moment before realizing, "Are you test-flying?"

"Kid, louder!" Tony's excited voice came through, sounding exactly like when he first used his flying magic.

  "You're annoying, you know?"

  Finney shouted into the phone.

"Haha, you're just jealous. Can you magicians even fly?" Tony taunted in his irritating voice.

Seeing this, to save face for the sorcerer, Finney immediately rolled up his sleeves and said fiercely, "Anyone can talk like that. Come on, give me your location."

"Los Angeles, Malibu Street, 30,000 feet above the ground."

  "You wait!"

Finney immediately hung up the phone, equipped himself with 'Possessed by Evil Spirits' in the room, opened a portal, and used his levitation spell to find Tony, who was shouting in the air.

Tony obviously didn't expect Finney to actually appear, so when he saw Finney floating beside him, his face under the mask looked as uncomfortable as if he had swallowed a fly. Why did he have to make things awkward for himself at the happiest moment?

  "I hate you, Magic Kid!"

"Same here, same here! Mr. Shit!"

Finney replied with deep agreement. This was probably the inherent opposition between magic and science.

"How did you fly?! Where did you put the propulsion system? Where's the power source?" Tony's attention quickly shifted to Finney's 'possessed' state. After studying it for a while, he finally concluded:

  "This isn't scientific!"
