Jonathan's POV
"Hold on, I need to catch my breath."
Ethel clutched her sides, gasping between fits of uncontrollable laughter. Her cheeks burned red as she struggled to pull in enough air to keep herself upright.
Meanwhile, I sat slumped over her kitchen table, my forehead pressed against the cool wood. The urge to bang my head repeatedly grew stronger by the second, but basic courtesy kept me from destroying her furniture.
That, and I still needed to get home in time for dinner. Not as Jonathan Jimmy, but as the male escort my own wife had hired.
"Please tell me you at least gave her a friends and family rate!"
"This isn't amusing, Ethel!"
My protests only fueled her hysteria.
She doubled over, gripping her stomach while her entire frame convulsed with giggles and snorts.
"Are you serious right now? The powerful alpha gets kicked out of his own house, only to be invited back as his wife's hired entertainment?"
"What exactly am I supposed to do here?"
