Nora's POV
Time was running out. He couldn't break the curse fast enough.
"Thank you," I said softly.
"Do you think your High Priestess or Gideon would want to participate? Gideon should arrive soon since I messaged him when I got here."
"They would help," I told him. "But I can't ask them to. I've already put them in too much danger, and since I married a vampire, they really shouldn't be involved with me anymore." The words tasted bitter.
"It's a ridiculous, outdated law," Tim said, shaking his head with disgust. "We've progressed in some ways but remain stuck in the past with others."
I smiled, grateful he understood. The last thing I needed was his judgment about my choice in husband.
"I've enhanced that spell over the years." Tim stood and retrieved more items from his bag. "Like you suggested, casting a circle is essential. But I've taken it further." He opened a notebook and showed me his chaotic handwriting sprawled across the page.
