Nora's POV
The warmth of James's voice pulls me from sleep. "Good morning, my love."
I stretch beneath the covers, my body still heavy with exhaustion. "What time is it?"
"Almost one in the afternoon."
A groan escapes my lips. "I really slept in." My hands move over my face as I slowly push myself upright.
James sets his book aside and presses a gentle kiss to my forehead. "Your body needed the rest. What sounds good for breakfast?"
"Coffee," I answer without hesitation.
His eyebrow arches upward. "Just coffee?"
"Fine. Hash browns, bacon, and scrambled eggs too. Though I don't think we have hash browns." I reach for the water bottle on my nightstand, draining half of it before pushing the electric blanket away. The heat had become stifling during sleep. "We should seriously consider buying Valerie's Cafe just for their food alone."
"The offer isn't off the table. But are you certain that's wise?"
