Nora's POV
"Vampires?" The word leaves my lips as my mind immediately jumps to the vampire who put a bounty on my head through Heath.
"Two of them, and they're young," James responds, his voice steady but alert.
Relief washes through me like cool water. "Those would be the vampire couple living in Vivian Hill. They moved here recently, and I'm pretty sure they have no clue this town is packed with witches or that a Watson line runs beneath Main Street." I press my palms against James's solid chest, feeling his strength beneath my touch. "You sensed my magic immediately when we met, and you can smell it on me. Do all vampires have that ability with witches?"
"They'll sense you're different because your scent is unique, but that doesn't automatically mean they'll identify you as a witch. Vampirism opens your senses to the supernatural world, but it doesn't come with a handbook about other supernatural beings. They might not even believe witches exist."
