Nora's POV
I stare at my reflection in the full-length bathroom mirror, smoothing down the fabric of my dress one more time.
James appears behind me, devastatingly handsome in his black dress shirt and tailored pants. His dark eyes meet mine in the mirror.
So much for the myth that vampires cast no reflection. I suspect vampires themselves started that ridiculous rumor to throw humans off their trail.
His strong arms circle my waist as his lips find the sensitive spot on my neck. "You look incredible."
Heat pools low in my stomach despite my nerves. "You're insatiable."
"Only when it comes to you." His voice is rough against my ear.
I turn in his embrace, careful not to disturb the intricate updo that took me three attempts and a handful of spells to perfect. Rising on my toes, I press a quick kiss to his lips.
The reality of walking into my sister's house hits me like a physical blow, and my stomach churns with anxiety.
