My closest friends would arrive shortly after our daughter's birth, but James and I had hoped to treasure those initial intimate moments together with our newborn. That dream wouldn't become reality, and I understood the reasoning behind it. The precautions protected both Renata and me equally.
"Then handle that arrangement. I'll reach out to Coco." Charlette pressed my hand gently before releasing it, her gaze sweeping over the twins, Gideon, and Ophelia. "You four need to retreat to your rooms and stay there until I give the all-clear." Her smile softened the command. "It's been quite some time since I've issued that directive."
"Which rooms exactly?" Gideon shot back, his expression amused.
