Nora's POV
The second the police officers disappear through the door, I unfold a map across the counter surface. Time is slipping away, but if I move quickly enough, there might still be a chance to save Starla.
"Vivien, I need you to go into my office," I say, my voice steady despite the panic clawing at my chest. "There's a drawer on the right side of the desk. Second one down. Inside, you'll find a small black case. Bring it here."
She stares at me for a moment, confusion flickering across her features, but she hurries toward the back room without question.
"Also grab Starla's name badge from the register drawer," I call after her as I flip open the case, revealing a clear quartz crystal suspended from a delicate silver chain. Divination has never been my strongest skill, but if I can channel even a fragment of my celestial heritage, it might be enough to track her down.
