Chapter 13 - Pact with Darkness chapter twelve

A week of work passed quickly, during which Shiros learned a great universal lesson:

- Work was boring and tiring. - Theft, despite its risks, was much better—easier, more fun, and faster.

But Shiros's goal besides money was to build a relationship with one of them... Who else but Cloud? But he hadn't appeared since Shiros took over.

"What should I do now...? Someone has to teach me sorcery. If not the arrogant Cloud, I won't find another."

Shiros decided to be patient.

It was midday, and the sun at this time of year unleashed its hot light.

He was sweating heavily, waiting with all he had for lunchtime, and his stomach was demanding a satisfying meal.

Until he heard from afar a sound that seemed like heavenly bells to him.

"Shiros, lunch is ready."

He heard the mother's call, rejoiced greatly, and said to himself: "How wonderful these people are; they do so much good for me. I hope I can repay them this great favor in the future."

Shiros got up from the reception chair, heading to the kitchen, but a customer entered and said: "Hello, boy..."

He didn't turn to him and said: "It's lunchtime; come back later."

"Fine, sorry for the disturbance."

The customer left. Shiros paused for a moment, thinking about something.

"Was the man who entered Cloud????"

"Oh God, I think it was him!.. I missed my chance."

He rushed out of the inn searching for him but didn't find him.

The problem was he hadn't turned to see him, so he wasn't sure.

Shiros returned to the inn and headed in despair to the kitchen; the mother had already called twice more.

And while returning to the inn in despair and anger, another customer entered.

In the same previous situation, he didn't even turn and said: "Man, I'm not in the mood; come after lunch."

Cloud understood the situation and left the inn.
