⭐Chapter 10 – "When the Police Becomes the Thief"
Rajputana Mansion, Visakhapatnam
The house was calm, wrapped in the comfort of togetherness.
Sia looked at Abhay and Shaurya and smiled warmly.
"You both must be exhausted. Go freshen up," she said.
"We'll have dinner together later."
She showed Abhay to his room—directly opposite Priya's.
Shaurya was taken to his room as well.
Soon, everyone slipped back into their routines—
Sia, Ria, and Kia busy chatting,
Saahi laughing with them,
Kaka Babu and Avanya Didi managing household work,
Inspector Karishma Singh with her mother Anjana ji—
the mansion breathing like a living, loving organism.
The Living Room
Priya was seated on the sofa when the doorbell rang.
Sia opened the door to find the milkman standing outside.
"Didi," he said softly,
"You asked me to bring fresh cow's milk in the evening. You wanted to set curd."
Sia quietly took the milk, paid him, and sent him away.
The word curd sparked something mischievous in Priya's eyes.
A playful smile tugged at her lips.
A plan was forming.
Dinner Time
Dinner passed peacefully.
One by one, lights in the rooms went off.
The mansion fell asleep.
Or so everyone thought.
Like a thief in the night, Priya slowly slipped out of her room and tiptoed toward the kitchen.
She searched carefully.
"Hmm… found the curd," she whispered.
"But how do I make butter from this?"
She frowned, thinking hard.
The Secret Observation
Unbeknownst to her, the entire family had already gathered quietly to watch the spectacle.
Sia whispered to Abhay, barely holding her laughter.
"Jiju, your future wife has stolen my curd to make butter…
and she has absolutely no idea how to do it."
Everyone struggled to suppress their laughter.
Priya, completely unaware, opened her phone and played a video:
"How to make butter from curd."
As she scrolled through the comments, one line caught her eye:
"Who is that fool who doesn't know how to make butter from curd?"
Priya glared at the screen.
"Oh really?" she muttered.
"Do you know everything? One more word and I'll encounter you."
Abhay burst out laughing, secretly recording the moment.
"I'm sending this to Mom," he teased.
"Let her see the professional side of her SP daughter-in-law."
Ria giggled.
"They say love is blind—and now we know why."
The Climax
Suddenly, footsteps echoed.
Anjana ji entered the kitchen.
"Piyu beta," she said sternly,
"What exactly are you doing here?"
Startled, Priya jerked back—and a glass slipped from her hand, shattering on the floor.
"I… I just came to drink water, Maa," Priya said quickly.
Sia crossed her arms, pretending to be serious.
"Oh really, Di? Then why is my curd here?"
Ria laughed loudly.
"That's why we call her Kanha. The police herself has turned into a thief."
Abhay added playfully,
"Oh my God. My SP Madam stealing curd to make butter."
Anjana ji folded her arms, pretending to think deeply.
"Alright, Piyu beta. A crime demands punishment.
Tomorrow, you won't go to duty. Your punishment is simple—
you'll spend the entire day with us."
Priya's eyes widened.
"What?!"
The house erupted into laughter.
The Hallway – Late Night
As everyone returned to their rooms, Priya walked toward hers.
Abhay caught up with her and whispered teasingly,
"Miss Thief… no more mischief.
Or your next punishment will be spending the whole day with me."
Priya shot him an annoyed glare.
"Hmph!"
She stormed into her room, slamming the door behind her.
Abhay stood there, smiling.
Mumbai – Anushka Arora's Bungalow
Anushka's phone rang.
It was her uncle, Keshav Kulkarni.
"Anushka," he said,
"DIG Atul Deshmukh has refused.
SP Priya Singh Rajputana has not been assigned your protection.
The duty has been handed over to ASP Zoya Malik."
Anushka's face twisted in rage.
She threw the TV remote across the room, smashing it.
"I'll make that ASP Zoya's life hell," she snapped.
"She'll suffer so badly that Priya herself will be forced to come."
She disconnected the call.
Visakhapatnam – Zoya's Quarters
ASP Zoya Malik was preparing meticulously.
She addressed her team firmly.
"There must be zero mistakes in this protection duty.
I need to make a strong impression on SP Priya."
Determination burned clearly in her eyes.
This was her chance—and she would prove herself.
Rajputana Mansion – Early Morning
Sunlight filtered through the windows.
The house buzzed with laughter again.
Sia teased,
"Di, I don't think I'll ever forget last night's butter incident."
Everyone laughed.
Priya placed her hands on her waist, pretending to be angry.
"That's enough! One more word and I'll go straight to duty—and who knows when I'll return!"
Everyone shouted together,
"No! No! We won't say anything!"
Laughter filled the air.
Mumbai – Film Set
Anushka arrived at her shooting location.
ASP Zoya Malik was already there with her team.
As Anushka stepped out of her car, Zoya moved forward, professional and composed.
"Hello Ma'am," Zoya said firmly.
"I'm ASP Zoya Malik. I've been assigned your protection."
Anushka wrinkled her nose in disdain.
"Please," she scoffed.
"Talk to me from a distance. People like you mean nothing to me."
Zoya's fists clenched.
Anger flashed across her face—but she remembered Priya's name.
She stepped back silently.
I'll answer your words with my work,
Zoya promised herself.
Anushka smiled to herself.
Just watch, ASP Zoya.
Soon, Priya will have no choice but to come herself.
