Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Don’t Yap in Front of Me

After several rounds of drinking and countless dishes, everyone at the table was already slightly tipsy.

Most of the food had been polished off, leaving only scattered plates and crumbs behind.

"Your Fish-Man Island desserts are seriously top-tier," Yunan said, his mouth stuffed full of sweets, his words coming out muffled.

"I honestly can't stop eating."

"Hahaha, of course they are," Neptune replied with a laugh.

"We're required to deliver dessert tributes to Totto Land on schedule."

"That's why the island has dedicated dessert factories. If the taste were bad, Fish-Man Island would've been flattened by Big Mom long ago."

As he spoke, Neptune let out a bitter smile.

Big Mom's wrath was something Fish-Man Island could never withstand.

"Oh… right. I almost forgot about that whole Big Mom situation."

Yunan nodded in sudden realization.

...

"Your Majesty—bad news! Something's gone wrong!"

At that moment, the Right Minister rushed into the banquet hall in a panic.

"What's all this commotion?" Neptune frowned.

"Because of Hody and his men rampaging across Fish-Man Island earlier, the dessert factories were also affected."

"They've suffered heavy damage—and won't be able to resume production anytime soon!"

The Right Minister spoke in a low voice, cold sweat dripping down his forehead.

"What did you say?!"

Neptune's expression changed instantly.

"The factories are damaged—just fix them slowly. What's there to panic about?"

Yunan chimed in lazily, half-reclined in his seat.

"You don't understand, Brother Yunan," Neptune said with a troubled look.

"In just a few days, it'll be time to submit our tribute to Totto Land."

"If we don't have enough desserts by then, Big Mom will never let us off!"

Neptune pressed a hand to his forehead, his face filled with anxiety.

"Reporting to Your Majesty! Envoys from Cake Island have arrived—they're waiting outside!"

At that moment, a guard's voice echoed into the banquet hall.

"This is bad! Big Mom's minister is here already!"

Neptune's pupils shrank, cold sweat pouring down his back.

"They're here already? Then let's go take a look."

"I'm actually curious what Big Mom's envoy looks like."

Yunan laughed loudly and strode out first.

Left with no choice, Neptune and the others took a deep breath and followed after him.

"Why hasn't Neptune come out yet?"

"Quite the arrogance he's got, huh."

In the plaza stood a man wearing sunglasses, dressed entirely in pink.

His lower body was absurdly long, clad in egg-shaped pants, a cane in hand.

With his gentlemanly attire and posture, he resembled a French aristocrat—

It was Baron Tamago, tapping his cane impatiently against the ground.

"Oh~~ I was wondering who it was. Turns out it's you—a walking egg that looks like a drafting compass."

Yunan walked out mid-sentence, burping loudly as he spoke.

Neptune, Shirahoshi, and the others followed close behind.

"Where did this brat come from, spouting nonsense like that?!"

Baron Tamago's expression darkened.

"Neptune, I'm here to inspect the progress of your desserts. The tribute date is only days away—you haven't forgotten, have you?"

His voice was calm and indifferent.

"Well… Baron Tamago," Neptune said with a deeply furrowed brow.

"Please convey this to Big Mom. Due to recent incidents on Fish-Man Island, our dessert factories were destroyed."

"So… we may need to delay the tribute."

"Delay?!"

"Are you joking with me?"

Baron Tamago's eyes turned cold.

"Do you really think Mama would listen to such a boring excuse?"

"If you fail to deliver the tribute on time, there is only one outcome."

"That is—Fish-Man Island's destruction!"

With a sharp crack, Baron Tamago slammed his cane into the ground.

"Shh!"

In the next instant, Yunan vanished.

A flash of cold steel—

Blood sprayed violently into the air.

Baron Tamago's left arm was severed clean off, flying away before hitting the ground with a heavy thud.

"Won't stop yapping. You're really annoying."

Yunan lifted his eyes slightly, his voice ice-cold, as he pressed the tip of his sword directly against Baron Tamago's throat.

"Y-you… you dared cut off my arm?!"

"Who… who are you?!"

Only now did Baron Tamago come back to his senses.

His face had gone deathly pale, lips trembling uncontrollably.

The pain in his shoulder was unbearable

Yet he didn't dare scream.

Because Yunan's blade was pressed tightly against his throat.

One wrong move—and his life would be over.

"Brother Yunan, calm down!"

"That's Big Mom's subordinate! She'll know about this—she's one of the Four Emperors!"

"If you kill her man, you'll be in serious trouble!"

"Lord Yunan, please don't act rashly!"

Neptune and Shirahoshi were utterly terrified by Yunan's actions.

Even though Baron Tamago was merely a subordinate, they didn't dare show the slightest disrespect

fearing that even the smallest offense would provoke disaster.

Yet Yunan hadn't hesitated for even a second

He had simply chopped off Baron Tamago's arm.

"This tribute from Fish-Man Island is canceled."

"Not just this time—there will be no tributes in the future."

"From this day forward, Fish-Man Island is no longer territory of the Big Mom Pirates."

"Do you understand?"

Yunan's lips curled into a faint smile, his gaze filled with blatant arrogance as he looked down at Baron Tamago.
