Chapter 1 - Prolog

The night should have been silent, like any other night.

But tonight was different.

As the moonlight illuminated plantations, residential areas, fields of crops, and the heart of the city. Even the slums places forgotten by light were unable to escape its silvery glow.

The moonlight was too bright. Too cold.

As if it were not merely light, but a gaze.

The moonlight shone far brighter than usual, as though the sky itself was holding its breath. Humans from all corners, without knowing one another, stopped and looked up. Animals, too, fell silent, submitting to the natural instinct of danger flowing within their blood.

A single thought was born in the minds of all living beings.

'Since when… has the moon shone like this?'

Time felt frozen, as if the night refused to move forward.

Then, the sound of cracking was heard.

Not from the ground.

Not from buildings.

But from the sky itself.

The surface of the moon began to split apart, black cracks spreading like veins. Light burst forth from its fissures, sweeping over the city with an unnatural radiance.

Not even screams had the chance to escape.

Because at that moment, across every corner of the world, humans, animals, and all living beings… obtained something that would later be known as 'mana'

And the world came to realize

The old era had ended.

A new fate had risen, together with the shattered light of the moon.
