Few days passed by, it was around midnight...
Many guild members were searching for clues across Vladis City at various crime site.
Among those, there were few B-Ranked members investigating an abandoned real estate building.
"For fcks sake, they are now even murdering brokers these days?" said one of the B-Ranked adventurer while glancing at the dead bodies.
"These murders are increasing day by day, or maybe even second by second. Just how many of them belong to The Death?" asked another guild member, unable to hide his frustration.
Surprisingly, every guild member present were able to hear a clapping sound, coming far from a distance.
It was a sign of uneasiness.
Everyone got alert.
"Someone else is here besides us? I wonder who is clapping at this hour? Or rather why they are here? Don't tell me it's them." said guild member.
Since the task was given specifically to B-Ranked adventurers, Kael was also in that random team of B-Ranked.
Kael was sent alone with other party members of B-Ranked without his own party because of rank requirements.
Only B-Ranked were sent for investigation.
One of the guild member seemed missing in that deep darkness of an area.
"Hey....one of us is missing...." said a guild member, alerting everyone to be on guard.
They were afraid.
One of the guild member could sense that there was only one serial killer nearby... But that single killer was deadly.
Suddenly a voice could be heard.
"Well ladies and gentlemen. I am Zen. One of the fifteen executives from The Death. Choosen serial killer by our boss." said Zen, smiling widely, with golden knuckles on his hands.
Other guild members could see a dead body of one of their own. One of the missing guild member was killed by Zen.
Total of three guild members were present including Kael.
"Kael....buy me some time....I am a mage, I have this special skill which requires some time to be activated." said Elena.
Kael could sense a tremendous amount of aura within Elena. He wondered whether Elena ranked B or simply hide her brilliant power.
Other couldn't sense it because of her enough skill to hide her true potential.
Elena brought out a sniper. She was a mage but wielded a sniper.
She charged it with tremendous amount of magical energy. Though it was taking some time.
"Oh? One of you is already trying to target me? Shall I get rid of that bitch first?" asked Zen, mocking Elena and others.
"Bitch? I will make you pay for this." replied Elena, charging her sniper with magical power.
"But you are vulnerable to me...." said Zen, charging in first to knock out Elena.
However one of the guild member charged at Zen, interrupting the attack pattern.
Kael took the initiative and landed a perfect three sixty tornado kick.
However Zen was had already predicted it and defended himself by blocking it with his own golden knuckles.
Kael's attack failed as a result.
Zen delivered double wild punches on both Kael and other guild member. The other guild member went unconscious right after that deadly attack.
However Kael had blocked that attack and recoiled back with a roundhouse kick on Zen.
"Nice....But that's not enough." said Zen, blocked another attack with his golden knuckles.
Zen launched double wild punches again at Kael. However with enough efficiency, Kael landed two jabs in a row, followed by a cross.
Zen had blocked them all yet again as he withdrew his attack in mid motion.
Kael used kuzushi. Trying to break his opponent's balance.
"Sorry to say this but...." said Zen, speeding up faster and landed a straight punch- a cross.
Kael had blocked it with his forearms crossed. However because of the golden knuckles, the defence was penetrated easily.
Kael was going to get hit but he then redirected the attack and maintained a distance to reset posture.
"Hm...You aren't like those shitty party members of yours I guess. Are you really a B-Ranked? Well whatever, I have had enough!" exclaimed Zen, rushing carelessly.
However he forgot one thing.
"Kael! This is it, step aside!" exclaimed Elena.
Her sniper was ready to shot down anything with enough magical energy infused with it.
"Crap!" exclaimed Zen, trying to recover his position and stop chasing Kael.
However it was late, the sniper's round was heavy but faster bullet hell speed.
Zen was shot down badly, his abdomen was completely pierced thoroughly.
"T-This ca...n't...be...I apologise b....oss.." said Zen, collapsed onto the ground.
"He is alive, he needs treatment. We can just interrogate him later. Let's take him with us, Kael. And thanks for helping me." said Elena, with a gentle Smile.
Kael nodded in response and carried Zen on the back.

Meanwhile at an abandoned college building. Some S-Ranked were sent by guild. It was unusual to send S-Ranked aside from B-Ranked but it seemed like....There were fourteen executives present in that building.
Willy, Noel, and Issac were also part of the mission along with few other S-Ranked members.
"I wonder why fourteen executives of The Death are present here?" asked Willy.
"I wonder myself...hm..." said Noel, walking besides Willy.
"Maybe, there is something important about this place?" asked Issac, walking behind them.
"Maybe.....but Noel, why are you clinging onto me that much? You are too close!" exclaimed Willy.
"Why can't I? Aren't we supposed to?" asked Noel, while blushing.
"???" Willy had no idea what Noel was trying express.
"Haha, goodluck Noel on that part. Though I won't tell him, don't worry. He will recognise it himself." said Issac, understood Noel's personal struggle.
"Huh? Sometimes I can't even understand you Issac. Well whatever...." said Willy.
"Where are they I wonder." said an S-Ranked guild member.
"For fcks sake, how long we need to move around this long building? What kinda college even this was before it got abandoned?" asked another guild member of S-Ranked.
