Chapter 153 - Dogs Of V5 - Intelligence - Chapter 153

Conrad paid for the room that had three beds and sat down on the blue chair overlooking the city.

"The border city is pretty ordinary," he commented as he looked down to the city.

The people were ordinary, and the level of the city was not that impressive, but nothing was too bad.

One or two levels above Zaban City, but it was to be expected, as it was just a border city, nothing more.

He then waited for Anisa and Adarte to arrive.

Two hours later, both of them come to his room.

"Any problems?" Conrad asked.

Anisa was the first one to speak.

"We were trying to be taken advantage of in the tunnel."

"But nothing violent happened."

"After using some intimidation tactics, those who tried backed off without much of a problem."

Conrad asked.

"You guys did not gather much attention for yourselves, am I right?"

Adarte answered.

"I guess we did not."

"From what I saw, those people who tried to do something to us and take money from us are trying to do it to everybody."

"If you are fighting back and have the means to fight, you are able to scare them off."

"They backed down without a fight."

"If you were not, they kept on pushing."

Conrad nodded.

"That is pretty ordinary," he said and then looked at the clock.

"At 4 AM, we will leave the hotel and go to the capital city."

"Until then, sleep, or do your own things to get ready. It would not be best if we tried to take on an enemy target while we lacked sleep."

Adarte and Anisa nodded and went to their beds to rest and calm their minds for the incoming battle.

Inside of a big courtyard, there was a big office building. A middle-aged woman in a black dress sat down on the chair and was checking her computer.

It was nighttime, but she still had a job to do.

"Hmm." She looked at one piece of mail that came to her and then found it interesting.

She opened the mail and then touched her chin.

"A Hunter."

"Why would a hunter come to this city?" she asked, talking to herself.

She then got up and left her room and went to another room while other people were kept working on their computers.

After she came to a door, she knocked on it several times and entered.

A man with a bald head was drinking and calming himself down while she arrived.

The man looked at the woman and spoke.

"What is it, Malia?"

Malia then started speaking.

"Today, I got notified that a hunter alone passed our border control and is staying in the Florina Hotel in Lenix City."

"Do we need to do something about it?"

The man thought and said it.

"Hunters have special privileges to enter our country."

"We cannot reject them from entering, as it would cause too many problems with the Hunter Association..."

The man then got up and nodded.

"But you are right to think about that and tell me about it."

"A hunter arriving in our country is pretty rare. We do not have historical sites or exotic animals that they usually take interest in..."

Malia then said.

"I believe hunters are interested in many things, including people, food, and other things too."

"They are called hunters because they are hunting something. Anything..."

The bald man gave one deep look at Malia and then let out a deep breath.

"You are right."

"Notify the headquarters, take four men with you, and go in person."

"You know the way."

Malia nodded and then left the room of the bald man and then called a number with her phone.

As she was going down to the elevator, four men holding submachine guns nodded at her, and she nodded back while they followed her to the outside building and then entered a military-grade scorpion vehicle.

In no time, the five-person group passed several big buildings and then came to open grounds.

Then, on the horizon, a big palace showed itself.

Thirty minutes later, they came to a big building, pretty simple in style, and Malia entered alone.

Inside the big building, Malia entered a room, and a man with a snake tattoo looked at him.

"Speak," he said with authority and brutality in his voice. One look at the man, and it was easy to tell that he was no good news.

"Sir, Nast."

"I have noticed a hunter arriving in our city."

"I believe it is something important. Our city does not have what a hunter seeks."

"He is at the border city of Lenix."

The man named Nast thought for a moment as he sat down at the table instead of the chair.

"Interesting..." he thought.

"Prince Lanista will leave the palace and will be moving around in the cities of the kingdom for three days."

"Just after he thought and wanted to meet with the civilians, a hunter arrives."

Nast then turned to the woman and asked.

"Is he alone or is anybody with him?"

Malia answered quickly.

"Official records show that he alone entered the country and alone in the hotel..."

"But it is not hard for people with enough power or money to enter the city through Matilda Worm."

Nast nodded.

"You are right."

"Great work."

"Stay at this building for some time and work with others to keep an eye on this man."

"If your people can see that he is not alone and have different individuals with him report to me."

"You will understand what I mean by different individuals."

Malia nodded and got up and left the room.

"Hunters are dogs of V5; they never liked us. One of them arriving while the prince is vulnerable is not something I would overlook." Nast thought as the woman left.
