The sky over the city of Kanzaki returned to a new day as the sun rose from the east, striking all those who slept in alert due to the war outside the walls.

Most civilians were in underground shelters prepared for these situations, where war reached the city and innocent people would not be harmed, one of the advantages of being such an important city.

From the city walls, the Leaf's ninja army watched the distance, their hands in their kunai and shuriken pouches, ready to strike at any movement. Although no one had made a move yet, they knew it would begin soon.

On Suna's side, they were not sitting idle. Unlike those from Konoha, everyone was ready for combat. Even though many knew they might not return to their village alive, they were willing to give their lives to provide a better life in Suna.

From afar, Daigo looked at the walls, sensing the number of ninjas they had to fight to win. However, for this, he had brought Suna's new weapon.

Behind him, in a line, stood ten ninjas in flak jackets; unlike the standard ones, these carried tanks on their backs marked with a danger symbol. It was a poison designed so that anyone who breathed it would be affected by its potency.

"It is time for the world to know that Suna no longer waits in the desert," Daigo said, giving the signal to the ninjas behind him.

The ninjas nodded and began performing hand seals. In front of them, the earth and the sand they had brought began to move in the form of a tornado that started to grow.

Everyone watched the tornado with fascination; it was the first time they had all seen the new Sunagakure jutsu with its own specialized unit, and it was obvious that everyone was holding their breath.

With the tornado large enough that even the Konoha ninjas from the city could observe it, they stared in surprise.

The unit ninjas grabbed the hoses from their tanks, aiming at the tornado to open the valves, which began releasing the colorless poison into the swirl. With everything ready, they clapped their hands together, and a powerful gust of wind pushed the tornado, breaking its shape. Now, it was a true sandstorm.

"Sunagakure no Jutsu (Hidden Sand Storm Jutsu)," the ten ninjas shouted.

The technique deployed for what it was: a wave of poison. The toxin carried by the storm was specially crafted by Sasori with Chiyo's help. It was a neurotoxic poison designed to attack the central nervous system, slowing down synapses before the victim even noticed a single symptom.

On the walls of Kanzaki, Konoha's main guards men and women trained for war covered their eyes before the great storm.

Many hid, thinking they had avoided the brunt of it, but a few seconds later, they began to cough. At first, they thought it was just dry dust, but soon, reality set in.

A veteran Jōnin tried to give an attack order, but discovered with horror that his tongue felt too heavy. When he tried to unsheathe his sword, his fingers did not respond with their usual speed; it was as if he were trying to move under a heavy waterfall.

Across the entire defensive line, chaos was sown without the need for a formal start to the war. The Konoha ninjas fell not from wounds, but from the inability to understand what they were facing.

"Now, everyone, attack!" Daigo shouted, his voice resonating with an authority that made the air vibrate. "Do not let Suna be defeated by Konoha!"

"Doton: Chidōryū (Earth Style: Seismic Earth Flow)!"

Daigo struck the ground with both palms, injecting a massive amount of chakra into the earth. The ground responded with an agonizing groan. An expansive shockwave traveled directly toward the foundations of the main wall.

The stone, which had resisted decades of sieges, crumbled as if it were dry sand. The wall collapsed, opening a fifty-meter breach that allowed the bulk of Suna's army to charge into the city, protected by their cloth masks and previously taken antidotes.

Daigo advanced through the smoking debris when a chilling pressure made his skin crawl.

From the shadows of a ruined house, a gust of cutting wind, imbued with wind-natured chakra, headed toward him.

They were Orochimaru's Wind Blades, capable of slicing even reinforced steel.

Daigo raised a hand, ready to crystallize the air, but before he could react, two crossing gusts of fire intercepted the wind, creating an explosion of heat that dispersed all the dust in the area.

"My, Daigo-kun... I didn't think you'd have bodyguards," hissed a voice from a stone pillar. Orochimaru appeared, his pale skin glowing under the fire and his yellow eyes fixed on Suna's young leader.

"You've ruined my grand entrance. I was anxious to see how your Shōton would react to my wind techniques."

Orochimaru prepared to use another jutsu to test further, but he stopped abruptly. In front of him, two figures landed with a heavy thud. Their movements were rigid, but the pressure of their chakra was undeniable.

They were puppets, though to Orochimaru, something looked strange. They appeared too real, and even more so when he recognized the faces immediately: they were members of the Uchiha clan, recognizable by their clothing and features, even in death.

"Puppets made from Uchihas?" Orochimaru let out a laugh that chilled the blood of nearby ninjas. "So you are Sasori of the Red Sands. We've had reports about you, though this is different from normal puppets, even by my standards. Using the bodies of Fugaku's subordinates to fight the Leaf... it's a delicious irony."

Sasori, inside Hiruko, emerged from the shadows, his chakra threads glowing with a pale blue light. His fingers moved calmly, controlling both puppets.

"Orochimaru," Sasori said with his metallic, emotionless voice. "I see you don't care much for the ninjas of your village; you seem colder than I thought. Daigo, go on ahead. I'm interested in making a Sannin part of my collection. I will handle the snake."

"Don't disappoint me, Sasori," Daigo replied, turning to continue his path.

Orochimaru tried to pursue him, but the Uchiha puppets performed jutsu in unison. "Katon: Gōkaryū no Jutsu!" Two colossal fire dragons intertwined, blocking the Sannin's path.

Orochimaru was forced to retreat, activating his own snake summons. The duel between the two masters of forbidden arts began a dance of poison, fire, and rotting wood that would soon consume that entire section of the city.

Although the fight continued, Daigo did not look back; he had his own opponent to defeat.

In the center of the main plaza, the earth trembled again, but this time it wasn't because of Daigo's jutsu.

A white smoke explosion the size of a building covered the area. When the smoke cleared, the Toad Boss, Gamabunta, stood over the remains of an armory, his immense katana in hand and an unfriendly look in his eyes.

Jiraiya stood atop his head, his long white hair billowing and an expression of pure fury at seeing the state of his men.

"Bunta, use the oil! Don't let those bastards advance any further!" Jiraiya shouted, biting his lip to prepare a combined jutsu.

Gamabunta took a breath, inflating his chest, but just before releasing the stream of oil, a second explosion of smoke this time grayish erupted in front of him.

From the mist emerged Iron, Daigo's elephant, similar in size to Gamabunta. Iron was an imposing vision: his solid gray skin seemed like a total defense. His tusks glowed with a green light that illuminated the ground where the sun didn't reach. In short, he was a creature you had to show respect to if you didn't want to be turned into soil by his stomp.

Without wasting a second, Iron struck the ground with his trunk, raising a monumental Earth Wall (Doryūheki) that intercepted Bunta's oil just as Jiraiya threw a fire match. The impact created a fire explosion that bathed the earth wall, but Iron didn't flinch.

The elephant looked toward his head, where Daigo was looking forward.

"Daigo... I see you have lost an eye and something more," Iron said with his deep, wise voice that resonated like thunder. "Your chakra is denser, but your soul feels heavy. I won't ask now. Just tell me what you need me to do to help you."

"I need you to take care of the toad and prevent him from helping, Iron," Daigo replied, jumping toward Jiraiya. "Jiraiya is my target. With the toad there, it would be too hard to get close."

"As you wish, Daigo. I'll handle it," Iron replied.

The iron charged at Gamabunta with a physical power that made the entire plaza sink. Using his trunk like a solid stone whip, Iron struck the toad's jaw, forcing him to retreat toward the side walls. Bunta tried to use his katana, but Iron, being a master of Doton, manipulated the ground to trap the toad's legs, keeping him in a struggle of brute force and earth jutsus that pulled them away from the center of the combat.

Jiraiya jumped from Bunta's head just before the elephant collided with them. He landed heavily on the cobbled ground in front of Daigo. The Sannin no longer showed traces of his usual joy; his face was serious and attentive to every detail of the field.

"I've seen many talented ninjas in my life, Daigo," Jiraiya said, adjusting his combat stance. "But you are different. I still don't know what it is, but what you've done to my men with that sand is a low blow, even for Suna."

"Konoha has never played fair when it comes to resources, Jiraiya," Daigo replied, his voice cold and sharp. "Let's not talk about morality while the Uchiha used that genjutsu in Kikyo. I'm paying you back in kind."

Daigo's response left Jiraiya unable to deny anything, knowing what had happened kikyo.

Just as both were about to lung to start, Pakura's figure fell beside Daigo, making them both stop.

"Pakura-chan, go. Command the army, secure the supply station. If casualties exceed the plan, retreat. I'll take care of him." Daigo said giving her a small smile that she couldn't refuse

Pakura, standing beside Daigo, nodded with a worried but confident look, knowing he could handle this challenge. "Don't die, Daigo-kun. I'll take care of the rest."

With Pakura moving away to lead the urban attack, silence took over the space between Daigo and Jiraiya, despite the noise of battle around them. Daigo closed his single eye for a brief second, concentrating on the flow of his own breath.

"Shichiten Kohō: San Kassei (Seven Heavens Breathing Method: Third Activation Breath)."

The change was instantaneous. The temperature around Daigo rose several degrees. A visible aura of chakra, an intense pink color, began to emanate from his pores.

His muscles swelled slightly, and veins bulged at his temples. This breathing technique, which Daigo had perfected to overcome the physical limits of the human body, put him at a level of speed and strength that would help him match his physique to someone like Jiraiya.

Without warning, Daigo vanished from the sight of an average ninja. Jiraiya, however, had instincts forged in a thousand battles.

He crossed his chakra-reinforced arms just in time to receive a direct hit to his solar plexus.

The impact was so strong the Sannin was sent flying backward, crashing through two wooden walls before stopping.

"Damn it!" Jiraiya thought, spitting saliva as he stood up. "That speed isn't just Body Flicker... he's using some kind of technique that boosts his physical abilities. Where have I heard of that before?"

Daigo gave him no breathing room. He appeared again over Jiraiya, launching a descending kick. The Sannin rolled to the side, and the spot where he had been a second ago turned into a three-meter-deep crater.

Jiraiya responded with a rapid sequence of seals. "Katon: Endan (Fireball)!"

Daigo, instead of dodging, hardened his hands with a thin layer of stone and, with a movement of his palms, dispersed the fire as if pulling back a curtain.

Jiraiya took advantage of the distraction to use his hair technique. "Ranjishigami no Jutsu (Wild Lion's Mane Technique)!"

Jiraiya's hair lengthened and hardened, shooting out like hundreds of needles toward Daigo.

Daigo seeing coming performed a mid-air spin, creating a blade from his forearms to deflect the needles.

The hair needles struck the crystal with the sound of a thousand glass panes breaking, but they failed to wound him.

"You're solid, Daigo," Jiraiya admitted, backing up to gain space. "But let's see how you handle this.

Doton: Yomi no Numa (Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld)!"

The ground beneath Daigo instantly transformed into a black, dense, sucking mud. Daigo felt his feet sinking rapidly.

Jiraiya smiled, preparing a Rasengan, but his smile vanished when he saw Daigo didn't even try to pull out.

Daigo made new seals and extended his hands downward.

"Shōton: Kesshō: Kyōka (Crystal Style: Crystal Reinforcement)."

The swamp, a technique designed to trap any enemy, began to glow. In a blink, the viscous mud solidified, turning into an expanse of solid pink crystal. Daigo didn't just stop the technique; he claimed the ground, turning Jiraiya's swamp into his own attack platform.

Daigo propelled himself from the new crystal surface, launching back into hand-to-hand combat.

Jiraiya, seeing that long-range combat wasn't working, decided to use his Taijutsu experience. The clash between them was brutal. Jiraiya used circular movements to deflect Daigo's force, trying to find an opening, but Daigo was like a rock; every time Jiraiya managed to land a hit, it felt like he was striking an iron wall.

"Your hits are strong, Sannin," Daigo said as they exchanged punches that made the air vibrate. "But I can take hits like this for days."

"Don't get cocky I still got enough fire to burn you, brat," Jiraiya replied, managing to graze Daigo's face with a chakra-charged strike.

The battle continued to escalate. In the distance, the roar of Iron and Bunta continued to destroy the city's outskirts.

Daigo stepped back a couple of meters to recover his stance. The Third Breath was keeping him in the fight quite well, but he felt he might need to enter the Fourth to gain the advantage.

Jiraiya, for his part, had torn clothes and cold sweat running down his back.

To his surprise, Daigo was incredibly versatile, and the way he used his Shōton was a massive headache to face in close quarters.

Although he was starting to feel young again, it had been a long time since he had taken a fight as seriously as this one; his muscles pumped blood much faster.

With the loudest sound of the battlefield,

Daigo returned to his guard as his Shōton chakra began to form sharp blades around his forearms.

Jiraiya did the same, preparing his next great technique.

Kanzaki was now the stage for a confrontation that would define not just a city, but the pride of two nations.
