I’m Louis Oberon.
I was summoned to another world and given a class, just like everyone else.
Most of the others were granted a grace or blessing—something they said meant the gods were watching over you. That you were favored. Protected. I didn’t get one. No explanation beyond a shrug and a quiet note in whatever system decided these things.

It didn’t bother me.

If there’s anything I believe in, it’s doing what I want, enjoying what I want, and putting myself first. Gods included. I didn’t come here to live up to someone else’s expectations, and I have no interest in playing a role just because it makes people feel safer.

They call us heroes.

I can’t think of anything more ridiculous. I’m not sacrificing myself for people I don’t know, in a world that didn’t bother asking if I wanted to be here in the first place. This place runs on rules—domains ruled by nobles, monsters kept at bay by force, systems that track your worth—but none of that makes me responsible for it.

I was given power. I’ll use it.

To acquire what I want and achieve my own goals.

Anything beyond that is optional.
