Kara's phone suddenly starts buzzing like crazy while vibrating everywhere. Kara hazel eyes opened groggily, she tried blocking out the annoying sound with a pillow, but it was proving to be futile. In frustration she reached out for the phone, frantically searching for the source of the noise. Finally getting hold of her phone, she sat up on the bed and turned off the alarm . But something peculiar immediately caught her attention.
" May 26th....ummm Monday,"; the gears in Kara's head turned a bit.
" Ohhh my gosh!, today's school"; realisation setting in, she tried scrambling off the bed, but her legs got caught in the sheets and fell of the bed with a thud.
" Owww, that hurts"; Kara groaned in pain while getting up.
" But I've got bigger thing's to worry about, today's the day"; Kara thought as she rushed excitedly to the bathroom.
Kara tied her long pitch black hair into a bun, brushed her teeth then stared into the mirror, while practicing her introductory speech.
"Hi am Kara.., no that's too basic"; she said as held her chin.
" Nice to meet you all..,Ahh! that makes me sound like a nerd"; Kara bowed her head feeling utterly frustrated.
She looks back at the mirror and blurted out the words; "Sup". Kara's gears turned a little.
Kara immediately clapped her cheeks ; " what the heck did I just say!"Kara groaned now even more frustrated.
A look of determination then flashed on her features ;" relax, today will be great"; her hazel eyes twinkled in anticipation of the journey ahead.
Her face then slowly turns red, the pain finally settling in; " I really shouldn't have slapped myself that hard". Kara thought, looking at her now red and puffy cheeks.
Kara completed her morning rituals, and excitedly got into her new school uniform, she looked at the mirror feeling contented with her look. Her White and dark blue school uniform hinted slightly to her slender figure, which completed her pitch black waist length hair, and it went well with her Dark blue hairband. Overall she looked a hundred percent ready.
Kara's eyes gleamed with excitement, as she ran out of her room with her bag and books in hand.
She ran down the stairs, and immediately went to her mom who was at the dining area feeding her baby brother. Kara kissed her baby brother's cheek;
" Good morning Ricky"; she said smiling. The baby giggled softly in response.
"Good morning mom"; Kara smiled kissing her mom's cheek.
" Someone's super excited I wonder why?"; Kara's mom teased in response.
A bit of heat crept up to Kara's face, realising she was a bit overexcited.
Kara's mom chuckled at her cute gesture; " ok sit down and have breakfast, the driver will drop you off at school".
Kara nodded took of her school bag and sat down to eat, then asked; "Where's dad, he said he'd see me off",Kara said pouting and a bit disappointed.
" Sorry love, but he had urgent business at the company to attend to"; Kara's mom said softly while feeding Ricky.
Kara lived a really good life, they didn't lack anything and could afford what they wanted anytime. Her parents were rich but not that rich.
Kara finished her breakfast and immediately tried to hurry out of the dining area, then her mom called out;
" Kara your bag"; she said pointing at her deep blue bag.
" Oh"; Kara gave and awkward laugh and immediately took her bag.
" Have a good day and if anything happens tell us"; Kara's mom expression immediately turned serious.
Kara had actually told her parents about how she was bullied in her old school, she didn't want to worry them at first by just simply bearing the abuse, but things got worse when Andrey came into the picture.
" Ok I will"; Kara said smiling and waving goodbye to her mom and brother.
Kara immediately rushed out of the house, and then walked straight to the parking lot. The driver opened the car door and she got in excitedly.
" Someone looks happy today"; Mr Robert a man in his fiftys commented.
" Jeez, is it really that obvious",she said holding her blushing face.
Mr Robert chuckled at her reaction;
" Don't worry miss you'll definitely have a nice day".
" Thanks"; Kara immediately replied while an enthusiastic nod.

At the gates of the school
Kara saw all the other students being dropped off, and others going into school, in short it was lively
Kara got down from the car, and waved goodbye to Mr Robert.
" I'll pick you up at three ok?"; Mr Robert asked.
" Ok "; Kara nodded back.
Kara felt her legs caving in, but also she felt the bursting excitement. There was now a shimmer of determination in her eyes, she gave a heavy sigh;
" Brightburn Highschool, l'm ready for you"; Kara thought as she took the first step Into the school.
Kara observed her sorroundings and made a mental list of her goals.
My Highschool Goals
* Definitely make friends.
* Have good grades.
* Be happy.
* Enjoy the school year.
" I really don't want much, just a nice school life"; Kara thought while walking absentmindedly on the hallway.
As if the universe had other plans Kara felt something slippery under her feet as she lost her balance, she glanced at the object; " a banana peel?! how cliche", she thought while looking unimpressed.
Kara felt no pain at all when she fell, and then she looked at the poor soul who had been a victim of her fall, her face immediately turned crimson. It was a boy! and a very handsome one too.
He had platinum blonde hair, pale skin, blue eyes, breathtaking features and a row piercings on his left ear. His exuded a calm but passive aura. He clearly wasn't happy.
Kara tried scrambling to her feet but that banana peel really wasn't giving up, "where the heck did it even come from!"; Kara thought as she fell helplessly on the poor soul.
The boy seemed indifferent and sighed, he picked up Kara's small body effortlessly with his right hand, stood up and dropped her down.
" I'm sorry, please forgive me for falling on you. I'll make it up to you"; Kara apologized continuously clasping her hands over her head.
Her hazel eyes then met the calm blue eyes of the boy, her face turning slight red at the coincidence.
" Sure, I'll take that offer, from now on you're my pet and you'll do whatever I say".
" Oh thank God,.... wait! what?, did he just say pet" ; Kara thought.
" Wait, I never agreed to that"; Kara retorted immediately.
"Well you did fall on me twice and.. ", The boy leaned in close enough for Kara to feel his hot breath on her ear, her face now crimson.
" You probably don't want to be attacked by a crowd of angry girls do you?"; The boy expression still calm but he had a grin on his face.
Kara just then noticed the crowd of fuming girls. " Jeez, how did my first day turn so chaotic?".
" Fine"; Kara sighed defeatedly avoiding the towering boys gaze.
" Good, I like a very obedient pet"; the boy said as he took her hands and left the hall way.
They walked in silence for a while; " ummm can I know your name"; Kara said while walking beside the blonde.
The boy looked answered passively;
" Xaviour". Xaviour then looked at the cute little girl beside him.
" Did I say my pet could speak?"; Xaviour said while leaning down to her level.
Kara flustered, retorted; " I'm not your pet, I only said that so I could get out of that situation". Kara said pouting and avoiding his gaze.
" You can't get out of it, considering you've already made enemies with the girls". Xaviour said, his deep voice remaining calm.
Kara sighed in utter frustration;" I just had to slip on a banana!''
Xaviour chuckled inwardly at her response, still keeping a calm exterior;
" well you're with me now and a head's up, you'll probably be with my twin brother a lot, he nice but he's a hassle.
Kara just sighed and accepted her faith, this was her life now.
" By the way my name's Kara". Kara hinted to the passive blonde.
Xaviour just looked at the girl and said;
" Go look for your class for now, meet me at the cafeteria later, I have some tasks for you". Xaviour said to the girl calmly walking away. He could tell the girl was a freshman because of her utter cluelessness, but he couldn't help but find it cute.
Kara left alone, hurried to the administration office to get her class.
She couldn't help but feel frustrated on her bad luck, running into a crazy guy! being called a pet! Kara sighed helplessly and just walked into the office.
