Chapter 9 - Level 5

The team walked to the gate saying "Level 5." They walked through it and entered the white room. "Welcome, players, to Level 5. This room is where we will instruct you on what you must do and what will happen in Level 5. To begin with, Level 5 is almost halfway done with the full game. Congratulations. You'll be transported to a desert area. This time, no fusion. Because from now onwards, the levels will be much harder than they seem. You must first survive the desert worms and cross the long desert. If you manage to do that, you finally head to the desert castle. Then you find the 5 of Spades. If you can defeat the 5 of Spades, you move on to Level 6. Good luck."

Alice and the team were transported. This time, no falling. Just direct teleportation. The ground that they were standing on was solid, almost seemed to be made of concrete. But across from them was a huge field of sand. And something was moving in the sand. Not just something, but some things. Alice examined the area. She saw that it was not just plain sand across, but what looked like huge stepping stones. "We probably have to climb those things," said David, "to avoid those sand monsters." "Or we could just fight those worms," Ace said. Then David responded, "No. How can we defeat something in its own domain? Even if we have gotten stronger, these are Level 5 monsters. Not Level 2 or 3." "Then what do we do?" Ace asked. "We probably should try climbing those stepping stones. But it seems we have to jump to each stepping stone. They seem so far away. But luckily, with our enhanced abilities, we can manage," said Alice.

"Alright. So the plan is simple. To prevent congestion, there are multiple stepping stones across the sands. So we better split up. I'll go with Alice this time," said Miriam. "Okay. In that case, I'll go with David," said CJ. "And I'll go solo. I can handle myself," said Ace. "Alright then. So we'll separate, jump through the stepping stones, try not to fall or touch the sand. Otherwise, we'll get attacked by the worms. And if we do, we should climb the stones as fast as possible. It looks like these things can't really climb the stones. Then we head to the castle and beat whatever monster is in that thing," said Alice. "Alright. Sounds like a great plan. Let's do it," said Miriam.
