Synopsis
Being reborn as the protagonist grants you a protagonist’s halo, which is reasonable, right? The protagonist needs to master a (large) number of special abilities—Aura, Viridian, psychic powers, and more—which is also reasonable, right? In addition to the usual captures, they also need to conquer a bunch of Legendary Pokémon, becoming a walking legendary knight, which is equally reasonable, right? Therefore, the protagonist sweeps through various leagues, crushes all villains, becomes a Pokémon Master, and happily builds a Crystal Palace; all of this is perfectly reasonable, right? Ash: Actually, I just want to be a human… Protagonist’s Halo: No, you must become a perfect human! PS: The plot is mainly based on the TV anime, but also involves the manga, the games, and even spin-off games, with expanded settings, modifications, and original content. PS 2: The journey story will be divided and integrated into the travel routes of each generation, that is, from Kanto to Galar ——— Raw version: https://wtr-lab.com/en/novel/39332/pokemon-ash-is-determined-to-become-a-perfect-man —

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Beginning, the Crisis of Viridian Forest Begins!

Pallet Town, Kanto Region.

A robust Dragonite flew through the sky.

[ IMG ] ←

Its powerful wings beat currents of air shaped like blades, constantly shredding the surrounding clouds.

An old man, over fifty years old, was sitting on Dragonite's back.

[ IMG ] ←

The strong wind tousled his gray hair, but the old man had no time to worry; he only kept urging his old partner to speed up.

On that time-worn face could be seen an extremely solemn expression, very different from his usual kind and calm demeanor.

"Ash… do you really have to come with me?"

When Dragonite was about to leave Pallet Town, the old man looked at the child accompanying him with concern.

"Professor Oak, we already agreed when we set out. How can you go back on your word now?"

The four-year-old boy smiled sweetly, but his words showed no intention of obedience.

"I possess Aura Power."

"Normally, when there is friction between the Pokémon in the laboratory and its surroundings, I am responsible for mediating."

"Now, the Pokémon are causing trouble in Viridian Forest, so of course I have to go help."

"But that is completely different from normal Pokémon!"

Oak's tone was extremely serious.

"With the Viridian Gym Leader and the newly appointed Dragon Master suppressing them simultaneously, Agatha still contacted me to ask for close support. Do you know how dangerous this situation must be?!"

"Then you definitely should take me with you."

The boy smiled even more sweetly, with a touch of innocence.

"An Elite Four battle, what a great opportunity to observe. I can't miss it."

"Kid… there's nothing I can do about you, but you must be careful—above all, don't stray from Dragonite's side!"

Oak shook his head, helpless.

He knew that Ash had already made his decision, so he could only repeatedly warn him to be careful.

"I know, I know. Don't worry."

—Sigh…

Looking at Ash's feigned obedience, Oak couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

He knew perfectly well that observing the battle was just an excuse; Ash simply wanted to help him!

This child had always been like this.

Many people in Pallet Town knew that the child every parent dreamed of, Ash, not only possessed a mysterious Aura Power, but, more importantly, was braver than the average person.

Normally, no matter how fiercely the Pokémon fought in the laboratory, he would always step in to stop the conflict, even at the risk of being hit by their moves.

And every time he was asked about it, the child would always smile indifferently and say naturally:

"I can't just leave them alone, right?"

This time was the same…

(Good thing I came. Otherwise, I'd have to find another way to get there…)

Oak, lost in his thoughts, didn't know that Ash was secretly feeling relieved at that moment.

He absolutely had to reach Viridian Forest right now; even if Oak refused to take him, he would have to sneak there himself!

[Attention! Viridian Power is about to be generated. The protagonist must go acquire it immediately!]

Ever since leaving Pallet Town, this instruction-like message, similar to a death sentence, had already appeared three times in Ash's mind.

The Viridian Power he had to acquire was to be generated in Viridian Forest, so he had to make Oak take him there.

Moreover, he had to successfully obtain that power!

He absolutely could not fail; otherwise, not only would he gain no benefits, but he might even lose the ability to use Aura Power.

[Warning! If power is not acquired, the protagonist's halo and all abilities associated with it will be lost.]

See?

So this is unreasonable.

That Aura Power was clearly inherent to the original body; your protagonist's halo merely helped activate it when I transmigrated, so how did it turn into an ability you granted me?

While muttering to himself, Ash resentfully looked at his right shoulder, but the guy there simply stared back at him without understanding.

Damn it… he was the one who issued all the instructions, and now he's acting like it has nothing to do with him!

It was a transparent Porygon.

Ever since Ash transmigrated into the Pokémon world as a baby, it had always been by his side, and only Ash could see it.

There is an illustration here, which can be seen in the updated version.

Ash was not unfamiliar with it, because he was its designer.

Before transmigrating, Ash was a programmer who tested pirated Pokémon games…

The Porygon that transmigrated with him was the game's management spirit designed by Ash; in short, a script… or a cheat!

It was a pity that he hadn't finished writing the code before transmigrating, so the management spirit could currently only manage the "protagonist's" abilities.

Of course, it could also possess a computer or a Pokédex like Rotom to unlock more functions…

However, Ash currently did not have a Pokédex.

As for systematic tricks like item exchange or even Pokémon exchange, which are popular in web novels, those were even more of a pipe dream.

But even so, with the deceptive management spirit, Ash holds the key to becoming a superior powerhouse!

Although there are quite a few restrictions on its use…

[Protagonist Halo – Perfect Persona]

[Current Status:

1 - Courage of a Perfect Persona – Activated

The protagonist can control and use Aura Power, on the condition that his words and actions conform to the principles of the "Hero".

In case of violation, the power will be reduced according to the severity, or even completely removed.

2 - Benevolence of a Perfect Persona – Pending Activation]

At times, Ash truly couldn't help being left speechless, asking the heavens why, despite it being a game by a suspicious developer, they had to design the protagonist to be so saintly.

Given his personality, after transmigrating, he had originally wanted to be a bit more carefree and fulfill Ash's original aspirations, such as sweeping the Major Leagues, becoming a Pokémon Master, and simultaneously starting a harem…

Oops, that slipped out.

In short, that would have been perfect for him.

However, the protagonist's demands regarding the Halo went far beyond that:

They essentially forced him to become a Perfect Persona!

Honestly, this demand is simply ridiculous.

As the saying goes, "no one is perfect," and absolute perfection is often nothing more than an unattainable dream.

But…

Ash had no choice but to walk this path of perfection!

Just like this crisis, even without the Viridian Power involved, as long as Ash knew about it, he couldn't pretend ignorance out of fear!

Fear and retreat are not actions of a hero, so Ash must follow Oak and help him resolve the Viridian crisis!

At the same time, he must obtain the Viridian Power!!

—Yaaah!!

The Dragonite flying at high speed finally arrived at Viridian Forest, but a sudden, strange, and extremely harsh roar almost made it fall from the sky!

The old man and the young boy riding on Dragonite finally discovered the true identity of the troublemakers…

They were three extremely violent Pokémon trampling the forest with their thick legs.

Their spherical bodies had huge and terrifying mouths open in the center, and two pincer-shaped tongues, similar to tentacles, extended from their lower jaws, constantly grabbing everything around them and throwing it into their mouths.

[ IMG ] ←

In the areas they ravaged, whether it was the land, the trees, or even the Pokémon in the forest, everything was devoured without leaving a single trace!

(Why are they here?!)

Upon seeing the ferocious giant beasts, Ash was completely stunned…

(Why would Ultra Beasts, and three Guzzlords at that, appear here in Viridian Forest?)

Translator's Note:

I started translating this Fanfic because I like it quite a lot.

It is literally the best Pokémon Fanfic I have ever read.

(I'm still reading it, I'm around chapter 800 or so, and I still think it's very good).

The protagonist (Ash) is quite good and not stupid; he's written pretty well.

The other characters, such as (Gary, Blue, Anabel, etc.), are quite well written.

This story is serious but without straying from the Pokémon theme.

It's not dark or anything like that, but it's quite good.

I want to make a clarification to try to encourage you to read it, although it may be a spoiler, but I want to clarify it:

The "system" doesn't force him to do so many things.

In fact, the "system" is protecting him right now.

The "system" is not bad.

In fact, Ash gets rid of the protagonist's halo in the Orange Islands arc, which is quite early in this Fanfic, and he gets rid of it in a pretty good way.

The "system" also helps him get rid of it, so if you felt discouraged after reading that part about being forced, you can keep reading without worry.
