Leander sounded completely uninterested.
For him, the matter was probably already finished.
Since eating only meat would make him thirsty, Qiong Xing created some water with magic and handed it to him.
A little later, when Albe returned, he gave him some water as well.
"Good work. Are you hurt anywhere?" Qiong Xing asked.
"No," Albe replied. "Actually, I should be the one asking that. Well… as long as you're safe, that's good."
"Thank you. I'm sorry for asking you to do something unpleasant."
"That was nothing," Albe said casually. "Don't worry. I made them promise they'll never come back here again."
As he said that, he was smiling brightly.
Strangely, that made it even more frightening.
Qiong Xing had been willing to help them if they had truly wanted help.
But if even Leander and Albe had tried to talk to them and failed, then there was nothing else that could be done.
"In that case, that's a relief," Qiong Xing said. "After we eat, let's do a little cleaning."
